Cool, so is there anything special about 'Launch'?

I'm thinking it will be like going from closed to open beta. A patch with some footnotes.

It's "Missiles" not "missles" and that stat shows just how wildly OP streaks were and (in low Elo bracket pugs) LRMs can be.

What ppc boating issue? They already have the heat patch on the 2nd, even though it's done nothing more than make me wait a few more seconds on my 4 er ppc atlas rs

I actually spent a heap of time last night trying to blow myself up by alpha striking throughout games. Not.Once.

A slice of virtual cake. IDK. Something anti-climatic about it at the moment unless there is something up their sleeve. Phoenix was a nice surprise and obviously was in line with the Release coming out to garner up some interest, but that is not until a month after release.

Hit detection is much better, meta is still shaky but better with the movement changes, alpha builds.. ..still alpha'ing. And limited maps.. ..going to be really interesting to see how this pans out.

p.s. Look at the stats, any wonder LRM's are much higher with the LRM stuff ups hehe. I wonder where PPC's would sit.. ..and why are they not in the stats.

I must say that I am glad that I haven’t been around for the whole process. You would likely have lost me by now. Game is good, but not good enough for launch. What would happen if a new CoD game came out, but with multiplayer delayed a couple of months. Would probably be a disaster.

I am rooting for you guys, but I am concerned. If launch is not good enough you might not get more money until game is finished, if at all.

Here are some of the feats which need to be done. It seems like a lot.
Hope you have thought this through.

-UI 2.0 needs to come before launch.

-First phase of CW too, including information about next phase.

-In game tutorials need to be available for new players.

-12vs12

-Better hit registration, it has its s*cky moments.

-A couple of new game modes, because assault and conquest is getting old.

-All the mechs and the lava map.

This thread that PGI/IGP is hanging the game in is a bit too thin for all this weight.
It will probably snap, but I would pray for you if I believed it would help.

If the next patch goes well, I think you guys might be just about ready to drop the NDA and go into Open Beta! Good job!

So we have a date for launch, and no date and next to ZERO FREAKING communication on community warfare. Please for the love of freaking god take some notes from the Star Citizen crew and communicating and taking feedback from your community.

and if Star Citizen never does anything but talk? PGI is doing a pretty good job, they have only been in development for about 1 and a half years. Where is the SC beta?

Yeah well, I'd get more excited by this if PGI had the confidence to give us a full list of 'Most Wanted' features that will actually have a snowball's chance in hell of making it into the game by then.

We would have had a year of Deathmatch tech demo by the time Sept rolls around. While I don't deny it has been fun at times, it was not what we were promised, not even close.

Put your money where your mouth is PGI. Show us the feature list that you guys are promising us by the time this game launches. And then we'll see if its more pointless talk or you guys are actually up to the task.

Your relationship with a lot of the fans is rocky at best right now, simply due to frustrations which should and could have been avoided.

Its the least you could do after asking people to throw money at you for Project Phoenix on blind faith alone.

"if ifs and ands were pots and pans the world would be a better place"

SC has the confidence of their community. Can you honestly say this game is ready for launch?
No CW = No goal
No UI 2.0 = Can't find my gawd damn coconut monkey for 3 months
No proper hit detection = Yea I hit them but no dmg
No Tutorial = Bad 1st game experience for newbies
No Consistent weapon balance = Why buy this mech if it may be trash tomorrow
No Repair and Rearm = No advantage for leveling thru classes, Light thru Assault progression
No 5-7 groups = Very upset groups of friends
No Lobby system = Zero player run tourneys/ Fun drops/ Organization
No weight balance restriction = Awful imbalance in matches
ELO = Predetermined fail for any individual, capped at 50 percent W/L wtf?

I could go on and on. This has been the problem since closed beta. MWO is not rdy for launch!!!

I have over 4500 drops in open beta ... I forget how many in closed beta. I like the game, but like Valore said ... where are the other features?

I am a pretty poor excuse for a {fan} {boy}.

and yet you are ready to defend a game that has been in development longer, and has less to show for it.

About as good as MWO's Community Warfare.

Only difference is one is still within deadline, the other will be overdue half a year even if it comes out September.

Exactly. The CW that was supposed to be out in phase 1, November, 2012.
