On the other hand the general point still stands, Microsoft HAD a decent reputation, now they do not, and all it took was the loss of one individual.

I don't plan on forking over 80 more dollars or in fact any money until we get some serious discussion time from the devs. I want a mock up of their plans for CW. I want a detailed reason for the massive delays for CW, UI 2.0, 12v12 among other things. But most of all I want to know their plans for the next 5 patches because I seriously don't think that's enough time for them to get this game "launch" ready.

To be honest, at this point I stopped reading - they have not been around long enough to have earned any kind of reputation for honesty - and while a lot of good points have been against MWO's makers, and for SC's... at this point none of it is proof one way or another in favor of SC, and none of it will be until SC actually comes out.
The developer for it may have a reputation for honesty, (I'd never heard of him before, but I do not wander the interweb much) but so have a lot of other people who've turned out garbage -as an example back when Bill Gates was the man in charge of Microsoft, no one doubted his honesty, and look at how that companies reputation has plummeted since, (not the best example I know)
And I would hold them accountable just as I would PGI or any development company out there for their quality and their product. I'm not saying SC is the epitome of perfect development. I'm merely stating that in a less developed state, it looks and sounds A LOT better than MW:O in it's current state.
Chris Roberts has been around for a long time and made lots of reputable games. He's known in the business for quality. That is why you see people flocking to it like mad rabid {Noble MechWarrior}'s. I'm not saying he can't screw up, just that he hasn't yet. Sure, he's had games that came out way later than scheduled. Star Citizen may come out way later than scheduled. If that's the biggest thing that SC has to face, I'm sure it will do fine.
The problem with MW:O isn't all about the missed deadlines, those are annoying yes, and they are compounded by all the other issue's of quality and utter ******** that comes out of the PGI PR department. It's the fact that PGI has pretty much flat out lied about almost every core aspect of this game to date in some fashion. The lack of trust, the lack of communication and the lack of honesty has pretty much destroyed any meaningful interaction or relationship they could have with their fans. They're now known as the development company that will lie to you to make a buck.
I once compared PGI to Hammerpoint Interactive and the whole The War Z scandal that was happening during closed beta. People told me I was crazy and this was nothing like that. Here we are almost a year later, with barely a meaningful game in sight while the developers lie about core content, lie about core foundations of the game and when it's coming out and give you no clue what it will contain with constant setbacks and delays. No, doesn't sound anything like Hammerpoint Interactive or War Z
It's the utter lack of community presence, passion for the game, respect for their community as people rather than wallets, lack of skill and QA or even good project management and the blatant lie's that take place that culminate to make PGI what they are and how they are viewed.

In the Agile/Scrum Development Methodology, one of the key items is confirming the definition of DONE, and quantifying that unambiguously. The key issue here is we have no control over what that definition is; it's all subjective over time. No one can hold the past as leverage.
You are completely correct. That is an informed and well written statement.
....what is it doing here?

Are you really surprised that they are an abortion when the text you quoted is pretty much 100% true? People have been clamoring for more info on these forums since the middle of closed beta. All they've gotten are lies and double speak.
*edit* lmao

To the first, that it may, but as many many people have pointed out it does not take much to make anything look or sound better than something else: and until it actually comes out any arguments comparing it to MWO are meaningless -regardless of the individuals reputation -think of George Lucas' current reputation, no one would have predicted his rep would fall the way it did.
PGI has (technically) not lied about anything, several members of the company have stated their opinions about things (and technically that is what it was presented as, even if it was presented badly) but the company has not (to my knowledge) lied about anything - even the 3rd person debacle was never stated by the company to never be in the game.
Is the company badly run? It would be hard to argue it is any kind of well run.
Have they lied at any point? No (hate to sound like a lawyer but my literal mindedness is burning over this)
I think me and you are going to have to agree to disagree: You do not like what they are doing, I do not have that much trouble with it (admittedly I am something of a {Noble MechWarrior}, Mechwarrior has been my favorite game series since I found Mech2 around 12-13 years old)
They are doing a better job providing a product I very much want, and doing a better job at it than -I- ever could, and so until something -I- like more comes along, here I will stay -though I may or may not give them more money, I have more than enough in my mechbays to keep me busy for years to come.
-and to my knowledge NONE of the meta is so broken it cannot be countered (even the poptart snipers are not THAT hard to counter)

And weight class balance!!! Bring it ******* back or add some weight limitation for 4 and 8 men groups. 4 men group = 1 light,1 medium,1 heavy and 1 assault Mech. Without these things tha game will be a disaster!!!
agree'd accept the end, they need to balance weight but not restrict what you can bring, just match up the weight esactly in the match and youl be good.

Insults will not make your case for you, it only adds you to my (mental) ignore list.
I fully realize they are by far not the most competent group out there, BUT, as I stated, I prefer the product they are producing to any of the alternatives I have found - in what way does that make me ignorant or blind?
It is the same reason people loved the original XBox, in spite of it's oh so many failings.
Fight Well, Die Hard, and Have Fun.
-If not here, then somewhere else.
Edit: meant to ask... are they really editing F A N B O Y????
on second thought enough people have been treating it as an insult.....

It's only insulting if you find it to be true. Being ignorant or blind are simply states of being and not insults in and of themselves, only in context and truth.
I also didn't directly say you were, hence why I didn't quote your post so there was no discrepancy about that. If you feel the need to defend yourself on those counts, by all means have at it.

What do you mean? Maximum tonnage for a drop or what? I still think that resctrict rules would be best for the fair matchmaking.

Sorry I should have clarified, I meant the 1 assault 1 heavy 1 medium 1 light, honestly imo a bad idea, we just need weight balancing atleast within the 50ton weight range of each team and it will be ALOT better for pugs.

When in a conversation (and your last several posts quoted my conversation -near as I could tell) it is generally assumed you were referring to the others in the conversation, and as your insults did not match the others in said conversation (as you agreed with their posts) I was left to assume you were referring to me..
I now recognize that you may have shifted topics into another conversation, but if so then it would have been polite (common courtesy here) to quote the person you were calling blind/ignorant so that THEY would know you were calling them so.
As you provide no evidence toward your "Facts" of Blindness/Ignorance, I must assume (unless you provide evidence otherwise) that you are simply a Troll, and thus cement yourself into my Ignore list permanently.
