Once all the Phoenix and Saber 'mechs are out, there'll be 5 lights, 9 medium, 7 heavy, and 6 assault 'mechs.

And lights are the least played weight class by some margin already.

I dunno, I think mediums are probably the least played, but only by a hair. I tend to see 2-4 lights in most matches (at least not when everyone is running Atlases like yesterday), where mediums are 1-2.

Same story here, I weep for the fact that I cannot have my Wasp in MWO - but the Locust may well tide me over for a good while! That thing looks wicked :P

Looks like they dropped Mgun ammo to 1800 a ton as well from the picture

My guess is that the engine weight difference he's talking about is that the engines already differ from BT weights due to adding... stuff (some other part of the mech that's separate in BT is just included in the MWO engine weights. gyros or something?). Could be wrong, wouldn't be the first time I thought I read something right but definitely didn't.

Boy, do I wanna go zoom zoom though.

Cockpit and Gyro weight.

You think wrong. In every thread where there's been any statistical counting of weight classes, the lights show as the least played by several percentage points. Here's a recent example: http://mwomercs.com/...-updated-2-oct/.

That's a statistically insignificant sample size, and for light counting, even worse, since many lights play conquest only.

Not to say he's right or wrong, just that I would more likely believe PGI's numbers than any observational ones made by any pilots.

I thought about that but considered it was just so damn unlikely that they would perfectly land on 1800 mg ammo.

...which of course (the engine weight adjustment) we all hope is to make sub-100 engines possible (they would currently have negative weight) so that the Urbie with its 60-rated engine can finally be released upon the hapless masses ;)

And of course we take the 190 limit for the Locust as a clear sign the speed limit will go the way of the dodo, as a LCT with a 190 engine would have a top speed of 153.9 without Speed Tweak, and 177 kph with Speed Tweak.

Jumping to conclusions; it's a fun pastime

They should change it bcuz of future upgrades like XL gyro,XL cockpit etc. so we can install those upgraded parts they need to make them removable like other parts
And yea I hope for urbie <3 .

Oh, it's no problem fitting AC/20 ammo in, it's the actual AC/20 that's physically impossible to get in :D

Nonsense! You can fit 4 if you want so, it just those silly weight limits that exist are ruining all the fun!

Had no trouble fitting a UAC/5 in it, though. :D

If that's the actual in game view out the cockpit, I don't like it. It's WAY too cluttered. But since you can't see the targeting HUD, it's hard to tell. Maybe it will be going so fast it won't be a problem. Still, I'm getting pretty excited to try it out.

I suspect that view is with a custom zoom setting to show the whole thing. In my Jaeger, for instance, you can barely even see the edge of my razor dice in the default view.

I'm afraid that with a such little armor it would be dying very fast, especially from streaks, why locust is same size as raven anyway?
