Light Gauss Rifles, because it's basically an AC/10 with slightly less damage and MUCH longer range. Heavy Gauss is fine, if you're inside 400 meters, beyond that they're garbage.

Ahh I see we have a bunch of Gauss lovers here. . . they're nice, but what I want is the beauty of Marian inginuity: the Rocket Launcher 10

sure it's "low" tech, but for the same weight/shot as a LRM10 + 1 ton of ammo, you get just as many shots, at almost the same range, with no minimum range, and if you want, you can either not take as many shots for lower weigh total, and/or you can shoot more than one round per turn. It only costs a smidge of accuracy, and a few more crits.

My favorite is loading them into a vehicle, and having them dump their entire load into a mech that strays too close, no heat spike, and a light vehicle can do a LOT of damage that way. See who says that Clans have a monopoly on cheese. . ?

In less cheesy aspects, a few of them make a great backup/secondary weapon system for medium/light mechs. Just watch the heat spike on an alpha strike. . .

Continous Beam Lazers. No Cycle time just tons of damage with lots of heat, like a cutting beam, but it never turns off.

X Pulse lazers I am all for!

Clan Heavy Beams, shorter range, more damage, VERY light but took 1 extra slot for it but was SO worth it.

Or just all of the clan tech pretty much, IS had 1 or 2 good things over clan as was the case with the x-pluse and the continuse beams.

Very simple answer: none.

The 3025 weaponry is sufficient to have fun.

more weapons = more balancing issues = less fun.

If needed be, so add the Clan Weapons as they come to invade us. If they do not come, all the better.

Inner Sphere by 3067 was doing pretty good.

X-Pulses were just an ER pulse laser for the IS because FASA realized that the 3050 clan pulse lasers were hilariously overpowered compared to the IS versions. All it did was add extra range.

The silly rapid firing is a pointless mechwarrior addition.

Either rotary autocannons or else the light gauss rifle... tie either of those weapons into an advanced targeting computer (like the Legionnaire does), and suddenly, you're a force to be reckoned with!
