I posted in the Mech subforum, but basically it looks like PGI is purposely avoiding the ability for assaults to mount dual gauss or dual AC/20 due to PPC's fitting so easily in most any energy hardpoint that isn't CT/Head.

2ERPPCs, Gauss and Streaks, with JJs and significantly more speed and maneuverability - possibly even without an XL. That's not shabby.
It's not worth real money for an extra week though. I have a lot of pity for those poor suckers who bought the Dragon Slayer - They can spend another $40 or wait an extra week to get anything but basics unlocked. That's got to sting a bit.

I was going to argue but it is only the Dragon Slayer that can mount 3 PPCs. OH MY GOD!!!!! PAY-TO-WIN!!!!
NOT.

Yeah the build you mention probably isn't half bad and I am wrecking stuff with my DS with only one ER PPC and a Guass so not sure why people get their panties in a twist over the fact it can't boat PPCs.
As far as the Dragon Slayer, like most Hero mechs, you buy it for the C-bill boost, not because it is better than other variants. However ASIDE from a 3 PPC build, you can pretty much mimic the DS with the 9K.
NOT.

The Victor certainly isnt DoA. We have a guildie that runs the Dragon Slayer and does quite well with it.

2 ER PPC and a gauss I believe. No need to be hatin the players either, hate the game instead. We just use what pgi gives us.

Parallel ballistic/energy with missile backup and enough JJ power to negate hill code. Definitely not DOA.
Has anyone seen twist/arm/quirks for these yet?

We do mostly use PPC's and gauss. Sprinkle in some large lasers and missles every now and then. Not much we can do atm when the meta dictates what you need to take if you want to win.
