Very good point, I didn't think of 12 v 12 giving incentive to balance out ballistic builds. Now we just need to work on PPC Stacking.

Game developers don't promise things for a reason. Don't take general dates as set in stone promises otherwise you'll be disappointed many more times in many other video games.

I would suggest that anyone who sees a "Test Server = Launch" comment to please not take it seriously. That isn't where I was going. I was specifically talking about how they are making a test server for a beta. The very servers we are on are by definition testing servers since the game isn't "launched". However if they are intent to make a test server for the game then that means what we're playing is no longer a "beta" but a launched product.

you think he's going to survive at that range long enough to run out of ammo?

only people who may need to worry are lrm boats, and no they should not get more ammo per ton. change to smaller ballistic/missile pods if you want to boat an entirely ammo based build, or diversify into energy weapons.

12v12 should be a lot of fun, probably wont make it to the test server myself though.

I would say this is going to be like the CB stress test, they got as many on as possible and each 30 min period they changed the server settings and asked for feedback, i had to take it on the chin and miss out on work to help...

From my understanding the servers are near capacity now in IGP's network, so i hope to allah they have ponied up for some new hardware and big fat fiber cables and routers and we are testing that.

Yay a personal attack... I love it! Makes me sound like I am 13 again... but then again if I was emo AND playing this game, think blood loss would've taken it's toll...

Now how about actually letting the majority of the world actively test this system? Afterall HSR might not break down for low-ping users but what about higher ping users? Even a 50-70ms increase as experienced by the Europeans still provides drastically different play experiences... so get off that horse and join the rest of the working class, might learn a thing or two...

What general dates, they gave specific windows in which they were going to launch major features, and some were even associated with patch times during certain months. Real developers don't give times, but we all know PGI is just getting it's foot wet in this new environment, and they did give such promises. But as per usual if it doesn't eventuate PGI brush it under the rug and don't acknowledge it until 'they' want to push it on us...

That's what happens when you monetize your 'Open Beta'

Seriously this game 'released' when they started taking peoples money. I don't need some arbitrary definition of feature complete to tell me that. No F2P or MMO is released feature complete so the Alpha/Beta labels are nonsense in this circumstance.

PGI need to take some risks and start aggressively pushing stuff (like weapon balance changes) live or their 'release' date is never going to happen. They have already kissed the timeline goodbye.

I would also like for weapon balance to be intensified. This is the first time they've said anything about focused weapon balance though, so it will already be more than they've ever done in regard to weapon balancing. The big issue is high damage alpha strikes being abused. Get rid of that and the meta is already better, then all that's left is making weak weapons more useful. There's not too much to do in weapon balance category really, just the longstanding problems.

Could not of said it better myself my fellow Aussie Mechwarrior, god I hope PGI can get this game up to scratch before Sep 17......
