But seriously, as a friendly thank you and incentive, they should at least kick over the GXP you earn on the PTS, or a free mechbay, or something.

But I thought we were in *gasp* BETA, breaking things is the point. And you make it sound like it's some permanent thing that cannot be rolled back, you're so funny.

I think Europe is better off as the first slot is during the evening: 19-21 CET, so we get this prime time instead day time, when people have to work etc.

Plus it's completely understandable, that these are held during their office hours, so live observation is possible without people needing to sacrifice their free time. Well I don't nothing about canadian working laws, but counter to what I would like to imagine, the devs most likely are not "code-monkeys" working for food and a place to sleep in.

Beta or not, I think playing in the test server is great way to have a break from current action and hopefully things work out perfectly and we get this live asap.

If you think that the first testing time of 19:00-21:00 is bad... then maybe you might want to move to Australia or East Asia to enjoy their "better" times.

Have to say I'm looking forward to trying the new lava map out more than the 12 v 12 which I'm sure will be fun, especially on the larger maps.

12 on 12 isn't going to make it more fun unless they allow us to drop in groups of 5-7. More mechs to kill mean more of a chance to be instant killed if you're in the wrong spot and sitting around bored to death waiting for a match to end.

thats just it though, any downtime would cause rabble rabble drowning out any useful info they might gain. It's our perception and entitlement not theirs

I guess that was a match with 12 Jenners in one team B)?

Had this idea of 8 fast mechs all going to cap and all equipped with cap accelerator module a few days ago and already posted about it here. I thought it was funny. Then the next day I remembered 12v12 players was coming and I had to post a new audio file, I thought it was even more funny.

When I saw this announcement, could not resist to share with all of you waiting for the 12v12. I can't wait too but probably won't test it as I prefer that the XP I will grind stay and serve me later.

What like the Artemis missile bugs... or the multiple times LRM issues have arisen on the live server. Did it stop people playing the game whilst a major mechanic was broken? No. If something went wrong on live server, then they have a reason to either roll back the patch or actually put alot more effort into fixing it. All these 2 hr tests will determine is a load testing on these servers, give the public a look at how messy 12v12 will be.

At least on live servers we can use the time in a meaningful manner, whilst allowing for the try breadth of ISP's and Computer types to test what will be a major feature in MWO...

PGI has expressed their love and passion for the Mechwarrior series and are working rather hard on it. The last time I wrote something like this it became unreadable, because I was flaming about the whiners and flamers (forum flamers, not "woooosh"-flamers) and there was a lot of language to be replaced by ***** B)

I also wonder if there will be "group of 12" vs "group of 12" only or if PUGing will be possible. I actually hope for the latter one. And I really really wanna try this out.
Thank you PGI, I love the game, I love the progress. Yes, 6-PPC-Stalkers suck, but you'll look into it eventually so I do not see a reason to whine about. I just deal with it by gameplay adaption.

This game is free to play. You don't want to spend money? Then don't. In fact - if you don't like the way the game runs at the moment - don't play at all.

But it is the biggest NEW problem that 12v12 may introduce. This is for testing how 12v12 affects the game. If it causes drastic changes in balance then you can report it by posting to that thread.

Also (unrelated to quote) I love the people who are saying they're not going to test because they already know the issues 12v12 will have so there is no point.

False. We're testing the end game product, and the end game product requires a functional test server.

Just because this is 12 vs 12 does not mean they can't test other things.This is the public test server so maybe it helps tweak things faster and cut down on patch that have flaws and are released because no one saw the flaw and reported it.

I too love this game and have been a life long Mechwarrior fan. I think PGI is doing a good job and believe they will keep making this game better. Thank you for the 12v12. Keep working hard and I'm confident you guys can make this work.

Don't listen to all the "flamers" who have to find something new to cry about each day.

12v12 will be just as much fun as 8v8.
