Although I dont think you had little choice in the matter - as I've said previously the PR would have been a nightmare and a strong case to bring up with the consumer watchdog.

And if this were the case all along, another example of the left hand not knowing what the right one is doing.

It took escalating a support ticket to someone higher up to get them to reexamine the canned response and amend the FAQ. Supposedly the whole thing stemmed from a miscommunication during a single conversation over there. At least it got them to clarify things.
