How exactly does that heat scale multiplier work?

3rd ppc = 7 more heat in addition to it's 8 heat?

or

3rd ppc = 7*8 heat for 56 heat on the third ppc?

not bad at all....seismic is under investegatio for the 30th along with some other things like improvements on the arty/air strike....we all have our doubts about the heat scale system BUT its a step in the direction we all want ..balancing pinpoint alpha boats..so lets try it out before we start crying...

So will people complaining about the streak changes and heat scaling numbers not being presented shut up now?

Hahahahaha who am I kidding they'll be in here to cry shortly or post a dozen threads sayin the same tired crap.

Amazing patch, the only thing that makes me sad is that it doesn't look like we're getting volcano til the end of the month, but I can wait.

PPC multiplier = 7.0
ERPPC multiplier =4.5

Whats this? Maybe drugs?

I wouldn't have thought the AC-20 would have needed that much extra heat, but oh well.

Dual Gauss Jager?

My biggest question on the heat scale is what if we have 2 SRM 4's and 2 SRM 6's?

Im wondering this as well.... Although, since the ML and some missiles have a scale multiplier of 1... it cant be the last option.

7th medium laser = 4*1 heat is still 4....

While I'd like to see more content, I'm happy to see that PGI is optimizing the game with little details here and there.

Not at all happy about the heat scaling rather than actual foundational balance,

but I am very happy about the heat damage starting above 100%.

Now you just need to nudge LRM damage a little to compensate for viable AMS.

It's still astonishing that you guys fell for that "the shake gives me motion sickness" line. The pop tarters have no problem playing the rest of the game that is constantly rocking with explosions and laser fire, but a little bouncing reticule leaves you with a queasy tumtum?
