Do I really have to download the complete game, a.k.a. 2.6GB of data AGAIN to log in to the test servers or am I doing something wrong??

If you didn't download it last week for that test, then you have to download it now. Otherwise just start the test client and it will patch itself current.

Make sure you accept the default location that the installer wants to use so it doesn't mess up your MWO installation.

If you accidentally installed the MWO Public Test data into the same folder that you have regular MWO folder... the unfortunate answer is yes.

yes, you have to download "again" because its a different build, hence the test part.

2.6GB is pretty small though, Planetside 2 for instance is something like 6GB.

thx guys, I didnt install it in the same folder, bcs I heard if you deinstall the test server, it deinstalls the live MWO, too, which would be ridicoulus.
2.6GB is a lot for me, since I only got 3MB/s on a shared line. Bummer.

Last week when I installed the test version and went to launch it, it just launches the beta version? But when I go to uninstall the test version it uninstalls the beta version... W...T...F?!

i didnt like the new Guass, AC 2 AC 20 etc shell size!! looks like you are firing pellets ...need's to be changed back ASAP!
