Had a bit o a decision to make. I thought about flat and angled, like FD's take on it, but 1) I didn't want to rip Alex off, and 2) all the canon TRO art has a distinctly rounded carapace on the CRAB, so much so that I consider it a key element of the design.
Anyhow, I always thought that bad art aside, the original CRAB had something going for it, aesthetically, so I didn't try to re-invent the wheel, just polish it up and give it shocks and alloys, instead.
So here iit be, along with it's concept piece to show the torso and arms better.

Colored for better definition/contrast:
Design notes, while sticking mostly to the crab, I incorported design elements of the MadDog, Bushwhacker and Uziel into the mech, specifically the Should/Torso/Cockpit interfaces, and the upper arm actuator is directly from the Uziel/MadDog designs of MW4.
The Upper and Lower Arm Actuators are a compound ball-type joint on the inside surface of the gun pods. Compared to full "humanoid" arms, this limits the lateral movement slightly, but this is partially compensated for by the very dexterous nature of the torso rotation ring, also using a ball joint concept.
