Hey guys

Just in case any of you were thinking that the Closed Beta was only for people in North America I cna confirm 100% that this is not the case.

No ... I'm not in it ... %£&£^*&(*(

but a friend of mine back home in England just got in.

Soooo PGI are not being biased towards their own back yard!

I thought they said anyone could sign up and they wouldn't IP block, but they could only guarantee play experiences in NA.

'cause if it's like MWLL where I can't finish a map without being disconnected 3 times, it's not even worth playing...

All my mates back home are jealous ... so I'm assuming the ping time is fine. but I will check.

They were referring to the OPEN beta. The Closed beta is shrouded in secrecy ... and no one really knows who is being selected. PGI have been saying its just a lottery ... and now I fully believe them.

I would be curious about his experience with connection times, Ping and disconnects.

lol not really a good consipiracy theorist will most likely ignore the facts anyway =3 and they did say there would be no ip blocking so anyone could get in.,,, i dont belive they ment just for open beta

Now, I might be wrong, but as far as I recall, the only argument that was NA-related was that the server/s is/are in NA, and you're going to communicate with that server even if you're playing beta from the Antarctica. I don't recall mention of open beta.

thing is they invite but i'm pretty sure NA people are bigger in number, and thats normal giving a ping problems unless they have some good system to minimize delay.

Well the point of this thread was to ease people minds ... It really is a lottery .. People are being picked from more than just one continent.

At least one of the unintended posts re problems with Beta here was an Aussie. I presume the last lot of keys expanded geographical location.
One of the things they are probably looking at is ping/packet loss etc to see how well the network code is working.
