I voted yes but however design flaws need to be addressed a repair mech can't just wield a magic wand and boom mech full health. And this mech would need spare parts along with ammo to rearm and repair but considering repairs take days to even repair armor and months for mech parts such as arms, legs, torso repair how would this work in a match? I can see this maby be viable for ammo resupply as you can give a friendly more ammo when he is out but repairing is going be a problem as this isn't about magic using and mechs can't be instantly repaired how would time scale work in a match? As a match is based in real time scale there is no time fastforward.

So on a repair bay you walk in shutdown and now what wait the actually real life day or two for armor replacement? Or would there be a button saying fastforward 1-2 days for armor repair?

Hi Zarla,

This is one of the reply's that I added earlier in the main thread, but it sort of fits your question above as far as repair is concerned. The second answer below gives you a link to the patron Poll. It's worth a look as it thoroughly explores the place of the Patron Loader mech in the future of MWO. The main things to remember when you add your vote is that, realistically, the Patron cannot be introduced until Maps get much bigger, at least four times the size of Alpine, the mission length will need to be extended to at least 45 minutes to cover the territory and reach a point when re-amm is needed and finally that I see the Patron as contributing to some form of side objective in which it would need to be escorted to an ammo DZ before it could do it's thing. This introduces the probability of bonus GXP, C-Bills or both.

You are actually right; it shouldn't take a few seconds or even a few minutes. As I see it your Mech would be out of action for at least 15 minutes and the repair would be no better than a makeshift plate of titanium welded over the damaged area.

Your reply actually highlights one of the known requirements that needs to take place before we see a Medi-Mech or a traditional MW3 / 4 style repair hanger in MWO and that is that the missions need to be extended, in some cases by four times the current duration at least.

I voted "no" to all. If there were some mission specific reason to have some field repairs done, a checkpoint type thing, that is for the Devs to make. A "repair mech" is not an option. This is not TF2. If this is a TF2 clone, well... I'll just go play TF2.
