Two problems.

Problem 1.

The link in the patch notes is incorrectly hyperlinked BACK to the same patch notes so that clicking on it takes you nowhere.

You meant to link it here:

http://mwomercs.com/...cale-the-maths/

please fix this.

Problem 2.

Any game concept that requires extensive MATH and a still incredibly confusing and lengthy post to try and explain how the math is derived is NOT FUN nor is it INTUITIVE.

I applaud the idea of heat scale. The implementation however is excessively complex, counter-intuitive, and NOT DOCUMENTED anywhere IN THE GAME.

I would suggest a return to the drawing board to come up with a much simpler and easier to understand/communicate/explain to your player base on how this mechanic works.

My personal suggestion is to simply limit the maximum number of each type of weapon that can be mounted on a single chassis. Sure this is extremely artificial, but at least it is intuitive.

This allows you to use your "chassis quirks" to allow certain mechs to exceed these limitations. i.e. the HBK-4P can mount more than 6 MLs, the JM6 can mount more than one AC20, the STK can mount more than 2 LRMS.

Thus giving more reason to why people should prefer certain chassis for their quirks.
