I'll go for SSRMs, first - and, keep in mind, I don't even use them.
SSRMs are pathetic. They have reduced damage and only come in packs of two - which wouldn't be so much of a problem, if the damn things didn't hit anything but legs and arms. I used to get circled by lights and cuss at my screen in frustration - having a circling pack of streaks wasn't that fun. At all. Now what do I do? I laugh. I laugh because they're doing -nothing.-
Ways to fix this? Increase SSRM damage to 3.5, or make them gravitate towards the center again.
Now for the topic of light mechs. Due to the rollback, some pilots have an obscene advantage over others. If you have a low ping, which is usually a very good thing, your client reads hits that aren't actually happening, against higher ping pilots. If you have high ping, however (~250-350) your shots get a greater amount of lag compensation, and a lot of shots that would have been misses end up becoming hits. If you'd like to test this yourself, go into a match as normal, and then another match while your internet is a little bogged (uploading files, or something?)
Ways to fox this? I'm not a techy, but it's damn annoying.
Ravens are also at a major disadvantage. They'd be fine, if their legs didn't take up two thirds of the mech's height, but they do, and have no extra armor to compensate for that. You guys fixed Atlas cockpits, back in the day, and put Catapults at a disadvantage by making theirs bigger. Why not alter the Ravens a little bit, too?
Spider hitboxes are borked.
AND FINALLY:
Weight limits in drops. This alone would eliminate the cheese light lances that just zip around and cap against an all assault team, and all assault teams from dropping against and utterly wrecking any properly composed team, not to mention the complaining caused by the previously mentioned. It would force group compositions against similar group compositions, which would help balance quite a bit.
