I just hope it will feel a bit more unique than victor/quickdraw/highlander, which are all very similar at a glance (boxy, symmetrical, "flat" geometry). Other than those three all mechs so far has been looking fantastic.

See, I have to disagree here. The Highlander being my all time favorite 'mech since ye-ole-tabletop days not withstanding, I see them all as having vastly unique silhouettes in game and can tell the difference immediately even from distance.
The Highlander especially was knocked out of the park in terms of translating it from old BT artwork to MWO while still 'looking like' a Highlander in my view.
I am not saying your opinion is wrong, I just respectfully disagree with your opinion, sir.

I like the similar style of 'mechs armor placement. It makes sense from my (all-be it limited) knowledge of how real world armor plating on vehicles works. Those 'rules' hold true no matter what you're trying to armor, so it makes sense that there would be similarities on major facings of armor.
Just my thoughts on that.
