PGI SHOULD be if theyre as open to hearing it as they SAY they are, get with them.
Given that ppl in this thread have talked about back and forths theyve had with Garth. He's not a dev Ive learned but more importantly a community manager this should be right up his job description!

I agree that PGI should offer users better tools to communicate and coordinate, but right now, they don't.

We'll get you guys on there. SIN Deacon, on behalf of the Stalkers of the Night, right?

hmm so only big clans are invited? Puggers and solo players not welcomed? Seems a bit fishy to me.

When posts like this DONT dissapear, it doesnt lend credence to your argument that they lie and obfuscate any dissenting opinion you know

Not to sound like a {Richard Cameron} but wheres the "i" come from?
If its SiN one would think the name would be Stalkers In Night. Stalkers of the Night would be more akin to SoN

wth... wheres the richard cameron thing come from? Thats not what I typed

I didn't make the tag and it was done that way as we would use a † instead of the "i". Since you can't use special characters in game we just went with the "i". This tag and clan was created 15+ years ago when such little things didn't matter, and typically people didn't nit pick.

I don't participate in these discussions because sometimes people get so involved with the lore that the talk of reinstating a player friendly version of repair and rearm as a balancing tool, becomes a way to royally screw over new and casual players with the last time I tried.

But I made a post regarding one of the two root causes of all balancing concerns on MWO by laying out MWO's heat system for all to see and understand.

http://mwomercs.com/...ost__p__2620791

After the autocannon variant tidbit, in the spoiler at the bottom. It's a breakdown of the basic premise of tabletop's heat system, then MW2's, then MW3, then MW4, and then MWO, and back to TT.

Eat your hearts out with it. ;)

Not welcome to what? Ive signed the letter, I wasnt excluded and I signed up like yesterday

I get "access denied"

by this I mean we aren't welcomed to participate in the discussion. Last time it went pretty well (except for peefsmash's randomness) so I see no reason why we shouldn't still take part of it.

Sorry about that, you might need an enjin account to view the post to begin with. If you already have one and are still locked out, then I might have been mistaken in that part of our forums being open.

Getting it set up a little later today guys thanks again.

Units are just an economical way to do things, because unit leaders and reps can poll their group in the way best suited to their particular group, then bring those concerns to the townhall. Puggers and solo players are welcome, but obviously we can't sit every solo player who has something to say on the roundtable.

That said, next time, we want to more heavily moderate the text chat, and take comments/questions from Jabber to the main discussion. If you have any other ideas, feel free to PM me or Stalkerr (or e-mail me at my gmail address, ceasetohope@).

Who told you this? I was watching over everything and saw nobody turn away larger clans, solo players, or pickup groups. It explicitly targeted groups of all sizes. You can PM me if you don't want to put their name in public.

Where have you pulled this from?

Groups are invited specifically because they represent anywhere from 10-x00 players, but the meeting was announced and open to all, there were no restrictions in place on who could turn up.

It was an open invitation, and having both sides of an argument is always useful. For whatever reason people on the other side of the argument didn't want to come and speak, it seems.

I thought it was a discussion, not an arguement?

I'm curious why people would think its an arguement. Yes, you could argue your points with PGI, but as PGI are the ones who are making the game, and it appears they are not interested in using the majority of the suggestions given, its really not much of an arguement. More like yelling at someone telling them how you dont like the job they are doing, and how to do their job.

It's no wonder PGI doesn't listen. Who wants someone telling them how bad they suck and how to do their job all the time. I guess if their making money, and are not worried about their future as a company, then they must be happy with their performance.

Unironically, it's Word of Lowtax to the rescue here :(

Madprops to you guys though... this is a game, and an IP, worth rescuing from the fate that befalls bad development decisions.

Edit: also, how do I sign up?

To my knowledge no, if there was one I was unaware of it, but I am also having problems viewing my PMs on these forums at the moment. If I remember correctly the next scheduled meeting will be Mecha Lingua this coming Tuesday. I believe we are slated to talk about new user experience. If someone else has the date and time handy and can post it that would be great.

Ok, thanks. I´m having the same trouble with my PMs and couldn´t remember if it was Tuesday or Thursday.

Well, an argument is a series of statements intended to establish a proposition. It doesn't have to be yelling and telling someone they suck. If we take up the position that we think MWO is in a bad state and other people say that it's fine, and we both try to convince each other that we are right and they are wrong, that's an argument. There's nothing wrong with argument in and of itself.

While i agree with the slow development of key features, the overall balance of the game seems to still be heading in the right direction.

Yes PGI have changed their minds and back tracked on certain issues like 3PV, but i can also see why these decisions have been made to allow for a wider audience.

The biggest harm i can see PGI doing to themselves is launching in september without key features and if they are to follow suggestions in the said petition, could find themselves pushed even further back while trying to compensate to the playerbase's idea's.

While i won't say that all the idea's put forward are bad, i just can't find myself signing the letter at this stage.

This, there were a few on the 'other' side so to speak, so far they gave no suggestions, no help, no reasoning, just sat there...

I do recall WM Zero specifically saying we needed a cone of fire solution (and Peef's subsequently wailing which was quite funny) as well as Grayson Marik being quite adamant about respecting the TT. Also, Homeless Bill was there and part of his solutions (though I don't think he explicitly said them there) have been to hinder aiming with some sort of RNG element.

As far as I see it, those are nonstarters, but theses guys certainly showed up and broadly agreed that this game needs improving.

Well said, however I think conversation would be a better term. Colloquially the term argument infers negativity and conflict. If you're asking PGI to "please come join our argument" , it probably wouldn't go over well.
