Implement FFA last mech standing deathmatch mode.

Only solo droppers can play that mode.

Plus, forging temporary alliances in FFA/Solaris Tournaments is lore-friendly.

So today was patch day and I was one of the many that couldn't log in due to whatever the bug was, seems AMD CPU related but whatever. Played some Dungeon Defenders and GW2 and then launched a bit of MW3. http://cloud-2.steam...5D9869B991D6FD/ Made the entire other team quit because they were a premade and didn't like getting owned so hard so they all quit and ended the match early. Teamwork works unless someone is having a good game and no amount of teamwork will help. It happens to sometimes that a total pug will beat a pre-made. I've seen it.

In game comms would be helpful.

I drop solo all the time and tend to win more than I lose. Not seeing an issue with pre-mades.

Team based modes like we have now are 'opt in'. If you 'opt in', then you drop with full knowledge you might meet a full 8 man on the other end waiting to roll you. No more restriction on group sizes in these drops. You can launch with anywhere from 1 to 8 man.

No more QQ.

Its stupid having a teamwork based game mode forcing a bunch of people with no teamwork abilities to try and conjure it up on the fly.

And the solution is not 'gimp the other people also by limiting their group sizes, but still make it a team based objective mode'.

How is it stupid for people running pugs with no desire to find a team jump into a game where it's practically posted on the wall that this IS a team based game? Let alone those of us who are in teams (or PGI for that matter) getting blamed for pugs getting rolled? At the beginning when pugs DL'ed the game is when they "opted in".

I understand FFA isn't coming fast enough for some people. If they can't wait, take a break and come back later...

Does anyone honestly believe that the same players who currently exploit sync-dropping with 2x 4-man groups wouldn't drop a large number of players into FFA matches at the same time and score easy kills against all the other players? They wouldn't even need to be grouped as they could see the tags of their friends or if tags are removed they could all be running the same colors on their mechs.

You mean you would like the game to move away from lore in the interest of fun?

I'm saying all the people who think that FFA will get them away from "groups" aren't going to get away from them at all. I pretty much only play 8-man groups these days and that's at most a few hours per week because this game is just not much fun anymore. I don't care what happens with FFA, I have no interest in it.

Really am getting sick to death of coming up against pre-mades just about every match now .. its absurd and there also seems to be a lot of instances where 2x 4 mans are on the same team... nice for them , gamekiller for everyone else. You will see all the people that defend this are probably group players and therefore think nothing is wrong , but seriously if you want to kill your own game then fine.. It would be sad for all the people that have supported you though , through the founders programme and cash payments.I do find it absurd that anyone would justify that it is ok as this is a 'team game' , The obvious answer is to match all premades into matches and all single players into other matches. Problem solved and nice and easy as well!

I always get a kick out of it when folks are like, "OMG YOU GUYS HAVE THE SAME COLORS!"

Had some guy claim I was fighting in a premade team, because a bunch of folks on the team happened to have purple mechs.... This was immediately after they put the purple color on sale, and a ton of folks bought it.

Yea. And the most popular color combinations across most games is Red and Black.

Play follow the Assault mech. Find a guy. Any guy. Latch onto him/her. That is now your buddy for the match. You don't even need to talk. Just support whatever they are doing. Protect them from attacks, shoot what they shoot. You'll live a bit longer and thus be around longer to deal out more damage.

The truth has been revealed. Can we please get an "AMEN" brothers and sisters. Halleluiah!

+1 Internets.

I know, huh... right now, we can't even see what our team mate's loadouts are. Funny that we can see our enemy's loadouts, but not our team mate's.

And have to deal with the Douche's who would make their inevitable snide comments about your load-out, even before they were dead? No thanks. Thankfully most of them DC right after death. Phew. :)

Valore, this actually sounds like a great idea. A simple solution, and yet it would give a lot of players what they want, and allow them to have a more enjoyable mwo exp. I hope you re-message this idea to PGI, because I for one would love to see a ffa mode/queue!

You can't retaliate while you're typing.
You can retaliate while you're speaking.

It is just that simple.

OMG! How about, take cover, type, then retaliate. Comms are superior, no doubt, but text is not the ugly detrimental monster you would make it out to be.

If they're going to be a douche, they'll be a douche no matter what, but if I can see that we have a missile boat, I can help call out targets and watch his back. If I see a brawler Atlas, I can hang with him and help him brawl. You know, team work.

There should be a mute function, I'd hope.
However, there's still no flood protection on the chat.. So.........

There's that if any unscrupulous pilot wants to interrupt chat comms of any kind....
