I'm not an LRM guy but I did have an LRM boat before and when I had that I only lobbed missiles at people who were at least 200+m out.

you pretty much answered your own question there...
This is how it went.
You ( Mech A ) was in reverse, backing away from the approaching ( Mech B )
Mech B was 200 meters away from you and moving towards you when you firred your missiles ( The point you firred is now called Point X )
Mech A (you) then continued to back away from Point X where you shot your missiles, while Mech B was still closing in on you and also at the same time moving closer to Point X (which was were you firred your missiles)
This ended up in Mech A (you) still being 190m away from Mech B when the missiles you firred at Point X hit him.
However since Mech B was still closing in on you he was effectively under 180m away from point X which was where you firred the missiles, ending up in Mech B being under the minimum range even though the effective range at that point was 190m for you on your screen since you were backing away. However since the missiles are using Point X to judge the distance for arming they never became armed.
This paint thing should explain it if the above confused you - Blue is you, red is the enemy and purple is point X where you firred your missiles.

Yes I do have 1337 paint skills... I know :b
Edit: updated image to show missiles hitting.

Nice vid, greatly shows that HSR or atleast the entire hit coding is borked for LRMs :b
Though its training grounds and most ppl always seem to think that TG and a real game have nothing to do with eachother, this atleast shows that the game has issues with the code of missiles..
Still the OP had issues at the range between 190-200 due to my previously explained ¨super art segment¨ ;b
But again, GREAT FIND! Now PGI just needs to look into it.
