There's a consistently deleterious effect on this game with every patch. With all of the crap that needs fixing the solutions bring about more problems.

From all that we've seen so far, a lot of the decisions have been.. sub-optimal, to put it gently. The truth is there's nothing we, as players, can actually do. PGI is gonna do what PGI is gonna do, and there's nothing that can be done, except an act of God.

No amount of yelling and complaining is going to help fix anything. Just stop it, everyone. The only thing we can do is clutch our hands and bite our fingers as the train wreck happens one patch at a time.

It was over a while ago. Some of us just haven't realized it. I've given up caring. You should too.

I wouldn't leave just yet if I were you. BIG things are coming in...um...August?

Also we still have fully functioning TWO different Deathmatch modes.

Aren't you excited about the Phoenix mechs? What's wrong with you!?

Up until about 2 weeks ago I had played nearly every day since closed Beta. I had been completely optimistic in the way the game was headed and was looking forward to the July patches.

Now, I don't miss playing the game but hope that someday it may change for the better. If it doesn't there are other games to play... <_<

Why are you even here? I looked at your posts and found a grand total of ONE constructive post. You complain and whine and are ridiculously negative. And that is not even including the membership in the bannerwarrior brigade.

If you are so bitter and angry, please leave. Your attitude is toxic and will not make this game any better in the short run OR the long run. Do you actually think your snark and sarcasm actually adds value or will change anything?

If you want to be constructive, feel free. I am all for constructive criticism. There is plenty of areas where criticism and feedback are needed right now. But I have seen no evidence of this desire on your part. You are not helping the community in any way, shape, or form. You are certainly not commenting on game balance. (aside from saying 'it's hopeless'.)

I know and I know it falls on deaf ears most of the time, but sometimes you have to speak up. Maybe if we point it out to them enough and show a better example they will realize the futility and uselessness of their efforts.

This forum isn't really a tool for the fans to help improve the game, it's a place where fans can chat with other like-minded fans for their own enjoyment.

El Bandito isn't making the game better, but to be fair, I doubt there's anyone except a handful of fans who have actually made the game better in any meaningful way, despite the fact that tens, if not hundreds, of thousands of fans have tried. PGI isn't listening, so while El Bandito isn't making the game better, he really doesn't have the option anyway.

A lot of people on this forum are talking as if their opinion matters to PGI, as if their discussions have some bearing on the actual direction of the game. It doesn't and they don't. The forum is where the adults leave the kids to play while they do work. We're all sitting at the kiddy table, and no one's paying attention. So we might as well have fun.

The optimistic fans making constructive posts, telling negative disillusioned fans that they're wasting their time and not helping? Pots calling kettles black.

With enough time you can reach the ** Eve is dying meme** a game running for more than 10 years and still each day someone come calling the mantra.

Of course they are the bitter/stern fathers who only care about the well being of their beloved son, but hope not their son strays even a bitter because they'll bring the whip to gently teach him.

Stalking my posts now? I wrote in depth constructive suggestions as well as constructive criticisms on many occasions, mostly on balance issues, before I gave up. If PGI is not willing to listen to the community then I might as well criticize them instead.

I already stopped playing since the last patch. The amount of fail and lack of content in it was astonishing. I'll play again when PGI makes it up with future patches with real balancing and fixes that does not spit at the BT canon. Meanwhile I am devoting my free time in the forums and write whatever I am thinking,
and you are going to like it.

PS: Pro-tip. Put me on ignored list if it is unbearable to you.

We will have to disagree on this.

First, the point of this forum is to discuss game balance. Social forums are elsewhere on the boards, and I dont bother to visit them.

Second, I believe that PGI does listen. I think they DO pay attention to the community. If I didnt I would not post. Do they follow the lead of the community? No. Do they do everything we suggest. HECK no. Do they listen? Yes

What some people here fail to realize is that it is not our job to make decisions. It is our job to suggest. If PGI uses those suggestions, great. If they consider and discard those decisions, THAT IS OK TOO. I have seen plenty of evidence to back up my belief that they listen.

Does PGI make mistakes? Absolutely. Do I think they dropped the ball on several aspects of the game structure? You betcha (I literally was clamoring for hardpoint size limits BEFORE closed beta, also late implementation of lobby and premade system, maybe 3PV (still evaluating), not using the test servers to evaluate weapon balance changes, other issues).

But what most people fail to realize is that they are making a game to their vision. We can think it is flawed is some aspect. We can even think they are incompetent. But if you really believe that, you should not really be here, and probably not be playing. In the end this is their game, their vision. We can be upset if they screw up. That is a perfectly reasonable response if we love the BT universe. But getting bitter and snarky on a board intended for game balance discussion adds ZERO value and probably makes things worse because PGI is less willing to listen.

PGI is not made of thin skinned 10 year old boys who are affected by negativity on the forums. They simply don't look at this forum at all. Gameplay Balance forum is pretty much a thrown bone for forumers who think their opinions matter to gnaw on--I realized that after spending a lot of time here. How many PGI devs aside from Niko had graced the Gameplay Balance forums in the last month? Most of the time it is Garth making some useless comment about his Garthmobile.

Ok, maybe I am missing something. Can I ask why? What does this add to your existence. What value? I am being serious here. I just don't get why you would intentionally wallow in your own misery like this. If you think the game is FUBAR, then leave and come back later(or dont).

You are HURTING the chance of real positive change occurring by cluttering good posts with snark and bitterness.

You are of course correct, you are free to do what you like. Just realize that you are not actually adding anything, only detracting from other constructive conversations.
