Lots of great stuff - but 2x XP only for first win? 2x CBills would be far better, and both doubled would be perfect!

They give bonus XP so you will use $$$ to turn extra into General XP.
They don't want to give bonus C-Bills, they want you to use $$$ to replace C-Bills.

This is how they monetise their game. It's not evil, but get used to it.

Whoa, my 680 with no overclock crushes the game at 90 fps on high with dips into the mid 80s.

680m, Sorry forgot to mention I'm on a high end gaming laptop. But even playing Battlefield 3 on max settings I get between 70-80 fps and I don't understand how this game can even come close to drawing more then BF3 does.

Sure this was complained about already but im not reading 5 pages. The win of the day is only for xp? woohoo now i can pile more exp onto the 55k+ sitting on some of my mechs already... Doesnt really help much with new variants either since Basic and elite only take me at most 1 day per variant...

1) 12v12 is the best thing that ever happened to this game gameplay wise. I posted reason in the thread that got deleted, no time to repost now)

2) They are working on 5-11 player groups. Let's hope they get it fixed soon, but it is good to know they are working on it.

3) The crit dmg bonus is VERY small

AC20 does 20 dmg to an open panel
roughly 40% chance of a crit
Each crit does 15% more dmg to the internal (3 points dmg for an AC20)

So on average, the AC20 does a whopping 1.2 extra dmg WHEN IT HITS AN OPEN PANEL.....wow.

Now let's look at the lbx10

The crit chance is raised to 66%. Additionally each pellet can do up to 6 iHP of damage
The average is roughly 3IHP damage per crit which would be .45 damage per crit

If you hit open panels with all 10 pellets you would crit with roughly 6 of them on average.
If crit with 6 pellets (very very unlikely) you would do an additional 2.7 damage on average.

But the odds of hitting open panels with all 10 pellets is VERY slim.

This is a VERY small damage buff.

This is a MINOR damage buff, nothing more.

side note: We don't know how the dmg buff works if there is nothing to crit (shield arms, engine only sections, etc.)

So either this crit damage buff is miniscule and it was a waste of time to implement compared to just "Take LBX10, make it do 2 damage per pellet," or, it was significant and will contribute to the already egregious issues present with mech time to live being far too low.

Neither option here is good.

Other then the cash-to-time spent nerf iv noticed another issue with the 12v12, apparently putting eight more mechs on the field is rough on even the best connections. I was enjoying a 30-35ms ping prior to this that let me devour even the most obscurely located light pilot, now im up to 74ms ish.

I pitty you guys not actually living beside the PGI servers ;)

Either way, it's bad, and what's worse is that it's development time that could have gone towards any number of faulty systems (splash damage, hit detection, movement, matchmaking, etc.) or new features (better mech quirks, improved pilot skill trees, community warfare, etc.)

Well, looks like I'm going to have to wait until October before I see another light mech being released at this rate, since I haven't seen a new light come out since I joined. I've got to the point where none of the mechs that I haven't worked on yet appeal to me and that means a 2 and a bit month wait to really play on anything new.

I'm using a 675m and this game is ridiculous. It's all due to very poor optimization and developers that are unfamiliar with Cryengine.

Obviously not every dev can tackle every problem but with a list like that, I'm sure whoever wasted their time on this could've been fit into some other tasking just fine.

My FPS Drop is roughly 10 FPs. River City is now unplayable Befor this patch it was really better. What has been changed in this patch?

Thinking the critical damage thing might be to mitigate ammunition shortages due to more targets?

think the patch is super great,,the more the better, just to bad we cant have a battalion out there.the new map is outstanding and a great tactical problem to overcome.other than joystick control problems and game anomolies such as getting kicked from the game and stuck on things i really dont have any issues, think the game is comming along just fine,,see you out on the battelfield,,good hunting,,veyron

It's 2013 and we don't even have DX11 and we don't have SLI Profiles.
...

Not sure if you'll read this, but for anyone else that is interested make sure you run MWO in "Fullscreen" mode, not windowed - your 2nd GPU will not clock up when rendering a window, whether "windowed" or "Full window." Probably a DirectX call limitation or something. I've gotten CrossfireX to work without much of an issue (you can force profiles too...), so SLI users should be able to get this working as well - just make sure you're in Full Screen mode!

I am really excited for this patch. I don't think I've ever seen a company react so swiftly and deftly to the community's calls to drown this game as if it were a baby tied to two anchors and tossed into the Challenger Deep.

The amount of ammo taken on to the field increased with the number of targets already, so no, it's not that. It's clearly meant to be a buff to weapons that have extra critical multipliers. Why spend time on coding a new system instead of just increasing the numbers on those weapons themselves? I have no idea.

That said, ballistic ammo has long been in a very silly place and it needs to go up, badly. Back when health was first set to 200% of TT values, missile ammo was also set to 200% of TT values. Ballistic ammo, however, never had the same thing done to it at all, which is utterly bonkers.

Why would you implement heat penalties for SRMs, then release a 'mech that incurs those penalties on the same patch?

I thought this was pretty stupid too. I guess you could break up your launchers 3 and 3 but... really? I hardly see SRMs on the battlefield anymore anyway.
