Mech gets stuck, no legs movement, was still able to turn upper torso

I could tell something was wrong at drop. Mech appeared lower than normal, maybe clipping through floor. Movement very slow and would randomly dip to zero. Previsous poster put it best, it felt like I was slogging through waist deep mud.

Eventually I got stuck in an invisible "pothole" and I could not move all, although I could still see, torso twist, rotate, and fire.

On all downhill sections my mech was slowed down as if it were going uphill at the same angle, more or less. I could only reach top speed when the terrain was completely flat. I was even slowed in areas where I should not have been, such as descending the ramps into theta. All mechs were also able to clip through me for the entire match.

After reading the other posts in this thread, I believe I also suffered the "spawn on the crates" issue, which might be the source of these problems. And yes, as others have said, the whole map felt like moving through mud.

Everyone that is complaining of slow down, getting stuck, unable to get out of lava etc is all experiencing the same bug. It isn't with any of these locations. Nor is it with the bridge that leads into the center. It's caused by the spawn. If you spawn in the boxes or in front of the boxes you experience the feeling of "moving through mud." You also get stuck on every rock or surface. You can't cross certain bridges and if you're in a heavy/assault sometimes you begin to sink only becoming an unmoving turret. If anyone spawns at this location they will experience this in some capacity. It is repeatable and will happen everytime to anyone who spawns in this location.

Map: River City Night

I could not walk up the destroyed bridge leading in to B2. Everytime I approched the bridge I was stopped dead at the lip of the bridge. In the same match I also was stopped dead at the alternate route (The path that leads into B1 a bit). I was using a Catapult-K2 with a stock engine.

As a Raven-3L I was hanging up on every little drop and pebble in the terrain, so I was essentially running the whole match at half throttle. As a light this is frustrating.

All the bridges leading to capture point theta I was unable to travel across. I would get stopped dead in a similar fashion as in my Catapult. I also experienced the same problem as with my Raven. I was using a Stalker this time.

These movement glitches make movement on some maps extremely difficult and makes me useless to my teammates.

I should add that I have tested this map in the Training Grounds several times and have not been able to duplicate the issue. I get the impression it has to do with the live server spawn points, same as troubles with Terra Therma.

Terra Therma. At the start of every match, I ask myself and my brother, who is going to have "The Box Glitch". If you spawn on the side with the scrap and boxes, someone spawns inside the boxes right next to the capture point. Never fails. I have watched and experienced this glitch, The Box Glitch. At first, you get stuck, can barely move. Some are not able to move at all. If you are lucky enough to make it out of the boxes, you will find that inclines, rocks, the slightest deviation from the main path will result in a major decrease in your speed. If you attempt to traverse through difficult and uneven terrain you may, in fact, find yourself unable to move at all. You cannot go over the bridges leading through the center. I died long before I could explore much of the map with this glitch. I ended up having The Box Glitch two times in a row. It was quite frustrating. The first time, I kept my chin up, did my very best. The second time, I was so irritated I threw myself at the enemies, becoming the meat shield for my teammates, suiciding to end my misery. Yes, this Box Glitch is real. And it could happen to you!

I am a pilot of a Centurion. My brother is a pilot of Hunchback. I have witnessed many other mechs fall into this glitchy trap. I hope that Terra Therma is fixed soon or taken out of the map rotation until it is fixed. Everytime it comes up... be prepared to play Russian Roulette with The Box Glitch as the one bullet in the chamber.

Terra Therma,
SE Spawn location.

in a spider you spawn so low on one of the locations that your feet are stuck in the world. Jumping didn't free up and JJ didn't recharge. When killed at the end of the match, fell through the world.

Got a screenshot of falling through the world, but missed the xyz co-ord data.

Entering "Theta" via E6/F6. On entering the outer circle around Theta I ran into an invisible wall. Couldn't get in there. Descending via E7 slowed down my Mech to approximately half its speed.

Starting position was behind crates in NW as stated by gaSyeraSS (reply no.4). Couldn't get past those thingings and speed went to hell.


Happened to me too... read it will depend on where you spawn... as you will start "lower" (Terra Therma near some buildings/supplies) in the ground and also will move slower.

Something like this happenend to me aswell - i was in a Highlander, running down a Lava.stream when i suddenly weren't able to get off this Stream anymore. I could do some minor moves in all directions but it felt like my foot was stuck under some already "dried" Lava. Eventually i could unstuck myself after Minutes of Jumpjetting and moving around.

You guys really need to fix these issues with getting stuck on the smallest of rocks and inclines. Getting stuck is really stupid for this stage of the game.

Invisible ridge I can't pass. Can back out of it, though.

Invisible hole I can't get out of. I can walk around a bit, but it's barely more than the little crater at that location.


I dropped in the new Charlie Lance spots, if that has any impact.

Had the same with my Sarah Jenner

It kinda is affecting lights much more than others since I never experienced in another mech (Sarah is my only light). And with Sarah on Terra I noticed it IMMEDIATELY that something is not working correctly.
Then I fell through the circle in the center down in the lava pit and from then on It felt like a was a few feet below the actual ground, which amplified the movement problems.

Terra Therma CTF-2X w/ XL300.
  • Spawned behind boxes, could not move forward.
  • Path out of base slowed me to 40kph.
  • Could not get over the bridge to Theta F6/E6.
  • Slowed to 40kph going down hills.
  • Stuck in a lava flow in D6 - Could not walk back up the hill, both sides of the lava were blocked by rocks "too big" to walk over, bottom of the flow was also blocked by rocks. I heated to 85% without firing a single shot that round and only got out of the lava by a path about 1/2 as wide as my mech as I walked up the entire side at a 45 degree angle...
  • Match ended on cap and I literally could not even GET to any combat. I was slowed or trapped so frequently, this map became unplayable.
Most mechs I play on this map are inexplicably slowed going downhill. Very frustrating.

No matter where I went along that ramp edge it would not let me up it. Looked to be 1/2" lip that serves as a small ramp to flat metal grating.
