... do you still receive your CBills and XP when the match eventually does end?

I usually hang around and spectate. But dying early on Terribad Therma means spectating for much longer than my boredom threshold.

Yes you do.

Now with the first win of the day bonus for each mech, there is even more incentive to quit the match and drop into another with a different mech.

Yeah, I pretty much never stick around unless its really close (or I need to get more whiskey). There are other mechs that need to be played RIGHT FRAGGING NOW.

Or something like that, maybe I'm just impatient.

A month ago some mod on the forum here said you had to stick around the whole match to get the full reward... I guess either he was mistaken or something's changed?

at least give us something to do while spectating, i.e. a little game of snake, or allow us to wager or something. picture this - after you die, you can bet cbills for winning team, last man standing, etc. probably illegal somehow (you know something is illegal when it sounds AWESOME) - that way you could encourage people to be interested in how it plays out. of course you'd probably have to block dead people's messages from getting to live players to prevent cheating (he's hiding in d9, etc.)

I'll stick around if the match is close or it's an entertaining battle...but otherwise I exit out once I'm down.

So.... DO YOU receive 100% of cbill and xp if you exit/disconnect after dying, but before the game ends?

Yes. But you won't know what that amount is as some things don't get calculated (assists, win/loss, etc.) until the game runs its course.

You mean like Bejeweled mod in World of Warcraft so all your raiders are playing it instead of focusing on boss fights?

lol no, AFTER you die. Though an easter egg of being able to play snake on one of the side monitors in your mech would be funny.

That is an AWESOME idea, as long as the burned, bloodied and shaking hand of the pilot gets to do it.... Maybe PGI could sell games to make some more cash!

"Must escape... burning mech.... but first... just one more game.... of POOOOOOOOONG."

I sometimes quit the match while I'm alive and my team is losing like lemmings, then go play another game or step away from the computer to burn off the mwo matchmaker rage. Just park it somewhere noticeable, put up a Don't Give One F*** Sign, and I'm outta there.

I have noticed that you don't seem to get the assist bonus IF the assist happened AFTER you disconnect from the match. So I believe you can actually get less xp/c-bills if you disco before the match ends.

I never understood the people who leave early. I have as much fun playing as watching the game. ^^

If you disconnect before you die, you get the money you've earned so far, but no cbills for a win/loss, no salvage, no assists for mechs that died after you left.

If you die then disconnect, you get the money you've earned so far, plus cbills for a win/loss, but you get no salvage and no assists for mechs that died after you left.

If you die and stay for the rest of the match you get everything.

You will only receive rewards obtained before you disconnected. To earn in-match rewards such as assists, you must observe/participate in the match. To earn end-of-match rewards. you must participate until the end of match or die before the end of match.
