This is a BETA test. You want your testers to have access to as much stuff as quickly as possible so that they can report on the bugs and help design the game. As you approach your release date, you scale back the bonuses that beta testers get to a level that you would anticipate would work for a full release. We have been privileged to play at an accelerated rate because we are helping to troubleshoot the system. Now, I expect they are scaling back to what will come to be "normal" levels of rewards.

They've approached 'Planetside 2' levels of grinding.

I worked out that I'd need to farm for 16 hours to get one high-end weapon on that game.

This game is getting to the same level of grinding. And add onto that the fact that MC costs an arm and a leg, and it's going to ensure that no one wants to play.

This might be a beta game, but it's open beta. As many people as have joined, are their playerbase now. You think that when the game clicked over to 'release' that suddenly everyone is going to jump on it?

Nope. They'll have already tried the beta and been scared off by what is now a ridiculous grind.

I think this might have prevented me from spending money this week. Not because I want to boycott PGI or whatever, but because I want to Elite my Jagers, I'm saving up for the last one, and will need to buy a mechbay to put it in once I can buy it.

1. No

2. No

2. No

I am not thrilled with the new Economy, But I played through worse in CB. At least we cannot make a negative C-Bill victory as we could then.

Beats having to grind a week just to buy a horse in Neverwinter Online.

No
Yes
Yes
I must waste too much time to accumulate c-bills for new equipment. I play for fun and I don't see fun in farming.
PS: yes, I have work, child and I need time for another hobby. Pay dollars (skins/colors/mechs) and waste time farming c-bills? No, thanks, I know games without anoying farming.

Why isn't there an option to vote "I don't give a poop"?

As if there weren't far for more important problems to this game.
All this rage about such a minor problem, and every second posting about premium time and how useless it is now. Basically you say, without a new lollipop every week I start complaining.
Not really what I would expect from adults.

Because if you don't give a ****, then you wouldn't bother commenting in a thread designed to be a poll about the playerbases opinions over the changes? I dunno. Seems logical to me.

The 'beta' ends on september the 17th. Whatever they put in now, for the last sprint, is likely to be final. If you don't fight this now, don't expect to have many friends who'll be playing this game a week after release.

Well, your poll is just a suggestive questioning.
You say, who wouldn't care, like me, should just keep out of the thread.
I haven't asked for the nerf either,
So what is it good for?
Telling PGI that 95% auf the annoyed players vote that they are raging about cbills?

That seems logical to me, but I would guess, that would seem logical to the devs too.

Then the "normal" levels suck. Thread still stands. The nerf made just about all of my friends quit. They only owned one or two mechs. This was brutal for their hopes and dreams. They are forced to play trial mechs because of the epic match times that make them wait for their destroyed mech. They already play at such a disadvantage without any upgrades, making it harder for them to properly outfit a mech to even begin saving for a good mech is just a slap in the face to beginners everywhere.

If you think it's a move, then vote 'yes' because you agree with the cbill changes.

And then vote 'no', and then 'no'.

There, done.

Was that so hard?

Or do I need to break it down even further?

I'm still playing cause I don't want any of the mechs I don't already have. If I wanted another mech badly,*cough*Orion*cough*, I'd really be weighing my options. I could just as well spend this time in Warframe ranking up a new weapon or warframe that require far less farming to obtain.

Only problem wrong with this logic: if it where truly beta, they wouldn't charge money yet. This is basically: buy our game, test our game, spend cash on our game although we say its still in testing. Kinda have a problem with that. You dont start asking for money like this when the game is still in beta.

No, don't like the nerf.
Will I stop playing? Surely not.
Will I spend more MC (=money) on the game for premium time or hero mechs? Definitely not!
Will I spend less money, due to fewer MechBay purchases. Definitely yes!

Welp, I think there are enough votes now to get the general feel for the community...

Pretty much nobody likes the change, and half of all people who votes have said that this has stopped them playing, and a good deal said it will keep them from playing in future.

I am definitely one of them. I don't play f2p games that are so grindy that you're forced to pay money. And that's from someone who's spent a good amount of MC.

I hope you're listening to us, PGI. Or your game isn't going to last long...

5 kills 4 assists 501 damage = 114k cbills.

Hmm

PGI probably figures the die-hardest of die-hards will just run Premium with Hero 'Mechs to make a profit - it's nonsense, of course; I'm not spending a single dime on either, even though I'm still playing.
Not even remotely sorry about it. :)

Please add "do you think the values are off"
Cause I understand the nerf and agree with it but I think the numbers might be off.

I have premium time remaining. Close to 25 days. I have my MISERY which I love to death.

My hard drive recently bricked and I haven't even bothered reinstalling MWO. It's just not worth the time and hard disk space at the moment.
