I agree this nerf doesn't largely affect closed beta players used to winning alot (apart from Salvage bonus which has dropped more than 60%). I do feel it will ultimately turn off new players, who are no sure whether they want to spend any of their RL money in game after realising the huge earning drop after the cadet bonus.

However I do feel we are not in full possession of the Facts, The C-bills we are earning now are in the limited form of the game we currently have i.e. a beta; with many modes missing and no community warfare to speak of. How loyalty points will benefit us has not been made clear, what other bonus'es we get from community warfare (reduced mechs/weapon/engine cost) has also not been made clear.
An official response from PGI would be nice something to make this pill a little easier to swallow.
Once again PGI I want you too succeed
Please respond

1. Yes, and I think it was a wise thing to do.
2. No. Why?! It incites me to engage in playing the game more.
3. Of course not. I have no idea why do people talk negatively about it so much!

Right now, there's barely any indication that CW even exists, and an equal lack of solid information on what the increases will be (if any).

No selection for "I enjoy my time playing the game, don't consider it a grind, and pity those who do"?

To think, we are in a time where we have ample free time, resources, technology, such that we can spend time playing free games and still find time to dislike them!

Looks like the C Bill nerf is as popular as 3 PV ... guess what that means.

To like the nerf is your personal opinion but having no idea why it upsets people is trolling

Yes @ all 3 questions. I recognize the reasoning behind it, and even agree with it.... but I can't get over the "URGGGGHH" feeling every time I consider starting up MW:O, or move to start another match.

I guess I too can recognize the reasoning behind it but I definately can't agree with it. Perhaps this is because I look at my own mech bay and realize I need 240 million C-bills to just fully outfit what I have already, let alone buy anything new or upgrade my 12 mechs that are coming with my Overlord Package. I just don't understand where they are pulling numbers from that indicate where we were making too much when I look at that.

Even with premium and Hero mechs, I feel like I am struggling to get anywhere now and that 240 million decifit didn't just magically happen with the patch, it has been building for months and months under the old, much higher rewards system. Heck now I know what the President of the United States must be feeling like when he looks at the budget.

LOL, yeah your right. Guess that is why I have a Founders mech, four Hero mechs and run premium plus have four more hero mechs coming with the Overlord Package I recently bought.

However guess what, I am still crying about not making more money so since you are so wise, how about you give me some other solutions?

Point, the majority of the people complaining about the C-bill nerf, aren't Free-to-Players, rather it is the dedicate core players of this game who are already spending a ton of real money to support this game. We are the ones saying that even with Premium, with Hero mechs, that the game has become a told grindfest and one we are not enjoying.

2.yes

3.yes

Too bad as I think the game is getting better all the time... But I have barely played since nerf, and will likely not play again until it changes for the better. (If it changes) If I don't play, I don't spend money... Seems logical.

To make decent money in the game now you need to use assists, fight on your cap for defense bonuses and use tag. Premium time and a hero mech plus money from those other bonuses will give you 250 to 300 million C Bills on an awesome match.

The poll probably wouldn't be so skewed if Piranha's PR department didn't suck in all honesty. I'm not quitting this game until playing it is truly boring. Atm, It's not boring. Give em a couple months w/o progression, and I'll give up. Until then, I'm waiting for Project Phoenix and CW (I'm not joking, seriously! They can't make it that bad, trust me.).

1 ) No; I look at the model this game is using to encourage new players to join, and to encourage current players to spend, and I have absolutely no clue what rationale they are using. If they are making money out of it, and the player base for the game is growing, more power to them, and if so, I'm glad they're getting it right, however, that doesn't appear to be the case. Happy to eat my words if I'm wrong though. Unfortunately, though I am inclined to support the game anyway, many of my friends have been put off by such things as this C-Bill nerf, and rather than encourage them to play more and spend more money, it has done precisely the opposite.

2 ) After obtaining my first 3 'Mechs, C-Bills have essentially been irrelevant to me, and merely a time limit on trying out new things. I play purely for the fun of it, mostly when I have friends available to play with, which unfortunately is getting rarer. At present I have 33 'Mechs to use, and I am not going to get any more either for MC or C-Bills until the loading time for my client lessens (it appears to be increasing with every 'Mech purchase).

3 ) No, it's irrelevant to my continued interest in the game. If I no longer have friends to enjoy it with, I'm likely to play less, though I probably still will, as there's nothing else like this game available.

Some people (who are apparently glued to their computer chairs and immune to pain) have billions of c-bills banked.

And so PGI are punishing all of us for their problems.

That's like the government saying 'holy ****, 1% of the population has BILLIONS OF DOLLARS IN THEIR POCKETS! HALVE THE MINIMUM WAGE!'

People are just mad right now because they want to be able to grind every variant of an assault mech in a week, and now they can't.

The c-bill nerf is definitely a game changer. I think it might change the game for the better. People will have to pick their mechs carefully, and if they want to try different systems they will have to explore variations on the mechs they already own. Assault mechs, and the decision to master one, should be a major commitment that takes a couple of months to accomplish.

Of course, none of that has to be true... you could always buy some MC (CHA-CHING!)

Anything that will get the number of assault-class mechs in the PUG down is a good idea. Everyone agrees, but no one wants to give up their assault.

Did it ever occur to anyone that giving players a pile of money in beta to test as many systems as possible is a good idea, but giving them a pile of money to buy everything they want in a couple of months is a bad idea?

Maybe it was OK in Beta, but maybe PGI never intended for players to have 30+, 40+, 50+ mechs (not without paying up some real money, anyway).

Finally, the numbers this poll shows are pretty wrong. If you took down the name of every C-Bill griever you see here and in the million other threads just like it, memorized them, and play for another year, you will come across all of them in game. No one is going to quit over this (unless they plan to come back with a new id). They'll all be here, kvetching about something else they don't like.
