When is the last time anyone has seen an AC-10 on the battlefield? I can't remember one.

The A/C10 by itself is OK at best, but it is pretty nice when using them in pairs. I run a dual A/C10 Cat K2 w/ 4MLasers (about 78kph) and it definently is a good setup.

I could run dual A/C20s, but that is far better in a Jager (With the Cat's lower tonnage, it is too much of a sacrifice). The Dual A/C10s allows good speed and mobility and with the 4 backup MLasers, it is pretty brutal.

Like I said though, 1 A/C10 can be a bit underwhelming.

despite the fact, that you have to hit the same spot 5 times to do the same amount of desired damage....

BUT!

Against slower assault 'Mechs, this is relatively easy to handle. And if a few shots go slightly off, you put 60-80% of your shot into the right spot still.

Against faster 'Mechs (lights or Cicadas) you keep firing. AC/10 is all-or-nothing, while the AC/2 can keep pumping and keep them dodging rather than waiting for you to let off the trigger and turn around for counterattack.

As has been said by many AC2s can be amazing. They are a fantastic long distance weapon and are THE reason I love running my quad AC2 Jag. However, there is a downside. They're not effective vs lights. I see no issue with that. That's a play style decision that I've made.

AC10s on the other hand are pretty amazing close up. Despite their bad performance on paper, try running a pair of them with some lasers. They shine where the AC2 does not.

Please remember that MWO on paper != MWO in game.
