Greetings MechWarriors!
We wanted to highlight the new Kintaro, and I figured an epic hero shot was the way to go. Plus, it's in our new map, Terra Therma! We did get quite a few requests for this, and we are glad to deliver!
Thanks again for all your requests, and we hope you like it!
If you have requests for future shots, let us know!
Cheers,
The MechWarrior Online Team
This is how tall it looks from my atlas too! J/k, I like the look of it, but I have 12 mechs coming in October, wont be getting it but love to see it. *Will spring for Kerensky's Orion and Metallic paints!

And please fix up your image link... going to the concept art for the Kintaro rather then the SS isn't how you sell my interest in the walking CT.

Hahaha. Poor PGI they crank out this beautiful mech and its already a laughing stock, hope they take all this ribbing with a grain of salt a dash of lube and choose to fix its hitbox rather then doing a table flip and moving onto the next mech.

Sir, you are wrong because PGI are doing things, and the very act of doing things, regardless of their impact, bequeaths to them a magical shield against any and all criticism borne from the missing eighth element of alchemy, intent. So clearly, because the developers are working on this game, which is still in beta, they can do no wrong. Their decisions are perfect and infalible. Who are you to question the developers of the multiplayer mode of Duke Nukem Forever, or the critically acclaimed Bass Pro Shops: The Strike? You see, because at one point, another mech had an awful head hitbox, there is no need to fix the gigantic center torso on the Kintaro. Also, did I mention this game was in beta? It's a beta, so the developers have all the time in the world to fix all the problems in this game before its release in three or four weeks on September 17th or whenever. The point is, I'm a white knight, and my posts don't make any sense at all.

So close, grasshopper. You see, developers are like magical unicorns. If they detect even the slightest bit of 'hostility' or 'criticism', they bolt and then who will make your Mechwarrior games then, a team of unpaid modders? What could they possibly do, add in combined arms? Checkmate,

As I understand that, the buff is expected to be a reversion of the terrain malarkey for lights/mediums to the old "not existent" standard. Not enough to save this beautiful creature of the wetlands.

Basically from the front, left, and right, your CT front can be hit. There is Zero risk in using an XL engine, but as a result there is Zero protection for your CT except that provided by your arms.
Golden Boy is also the slowest of all Kintaros (290 engine) versus the rest (360 engines). This means the Golden Boy is the worst one to use for brawling. It makes up for this by having 65 total missile tubes available. Most other Kintaros are listed as having 26 to 28 tubes.
