Hello, I want to know the type of payment which will take MechWarrior Online, I am interested in the game, I am player of league of legend, I like the free 2 play, where micropayments do not affect the gameplay, purchasing skins, colors for the characters, characters , ect ... I wonder if it has been confirmed if it is "Pay to Win or Free 2 Play".
Sorry if my English is not very good. thanks!.

The Developers have repeatedly claimed that it will not be Pay 2 Win...

We shall see.

It's been asked, and answered many many many MANY times. They have said they are going to be careful not to upset the balance of the game with pay features. It's not going to be P2W.

Free to play with an in game store. There will be no special mechs or golden bullets that will give you the jump over other players.

Even if it were Pay to Win, it would still be Free to Play, so there really is no comparison of the two.

it will be f2p at the beginning but when they realize that some visual gimmicks don't generate enough revenue they will consider and implement p2w...

it's always like that.

thats funny coz you already can buy mechs which will be better than their normal versions, its also funny how you all are convinced it wont be pay to win, of course ppl paying will have an advantage over others so get real

Its a fine line to walk, so long as nobody gets any advantages which are tangible in battle I will be satisfied. Getting more XP/money is fine, and any cosmetic stuff.

Being able to buy a super mega mech or have your weapons do more damage because you spent money on something is pay2win imo.

These mechs will be of prime variant, AKA stock. The only thing extra they have is their look, which is a skin or costume and the c-bill booster.

This does not make you any better on the battlefield.

I think you will find that selling mechs and tech upgrades will bring them enough money - look at how many Founders packs they sold without people having played the game.

Id be interested in where you got this notion from. If I recall correctly, It has been stated numerous types the founders Mech's dont come with advantages which are exclusive to paying people apart from the lifetime C-Bill boost.

If, for example, an item is available in the MechLab store for 1 mil C-bils...... and you can either buy it with in-game generated C-bills, or RL cash, the item is the same... conveys no additional bonus or advantage regardless of purchase method....

Unlike something that is only available via RL cash.... and cannot be purchased with in-game cash..... that would be truly pay-to-win....

+25% cbills for founders does not affect combat. It doesn't even give an xp boost.

You kidding? With that kind of money players could drown mechs in their overflow of c-bills! THIS IS BAD NEWS! BAD NEWS!

Would any of you really spend your hard earned cash just to get a special paint job knowing that some poor ******* in a ratty ole mech could put it in the junk yard....NO I don't think you would, not unless you knew there was some other advantages. Dispite what everyone has said, I feel that it will become pay 2 win, they always always do.

Well then you'd be wrong. I'd be more than happy to pay to get the color scheme I wanted. Secondly, I'd also spend money to get premium, as well as buying a mech without having to grind the cbills. The only real 'advantage' i'm looking for in such purchases is convenience.

The founder mechs give no tactical advantage.

They are stock variants.

Customised in the same way as any other mech.

They have stated that you will not be able to buy tactical advantage.

I already bought a mech with a skin
<------ see?
decels, customization(cosmetic), stuff like that? yeah I'd buy it. I've bought that stuff in other games that look good enough to justify it.
cryengine3 = looks awesome
