I'm pretty sure that if you told a group of factory workers that their wages have just been cut by 30%, they'd be going to a union and demanding your head on a platter, and if you were the person who authorized that massive cut in pay, some of those vocal minorities might just reveal themselves to be dangerously violent when their income is devastated like that.

Yeah I really doubt the silent majority is going to be OK about taking a 30% wage cut let alone happy about it.

Also one thing I know about politics is that the vocal minority is the group that has all the power because if you don't speak up for what you believe in, you might as well not exist.

Quoted for truth.

Sad, but true. There are some true 'good guys' out there, but the majority of folks are not. They require you to stand up for yourselves, and, truthfully, if the wheel doesn't squeak, you forget it's there.

Well keep in mind patches are only once every 2 weeks. And they may not have really been aware of the problem prior to the last patch. But PGI needs to increase c-bills in the next patch if for no other reason than to try and calm everyone down over the 3PV issue.

We pointed this out an hour after the patch.

Yeah exactly. Even if they couldn't push out a hot fix right away, they had two weeks of us pointing out the problem to fix it and get it in Tuesdays Content patch. Instead they apparently chose not to for whatever reason.

I mean since they want to call this a "beta test" and as such we are "beta testers" who are suppose to identify problems, you would think when they have 20-30 thread stating there is a problem, they might actually address it.

This is getting ridiculous... I have been keeping a close eye on my stats these last few days... and after playing for about a month now i really do see a big improvement (with elite fully unlocked on Cicada and Stalker).

Better K/D Ratio, same goes for Win/Loss. Overall accuracy improving, XP per match up to 500+.

The only thing that is getting lower and lower is the C-Bills earned per match. Down to 87,5K average, what about a week ago was at 100K+. And its still declining... i can watch it getting lower and lower, although all other stats tell me i'm getting better. Hell, i just had a "good" Conquest loss with 500 Damage, a kill and a few assists and Component Destructions. Quite a bit of lead with the ressources too. Payout was 46K, although it wasn't a complete steamroll from the other team. No wonder i barely see any conquest matches anymore, everybody seems to play assault.

I think the title of this thread should be changed to:

Pgi Fix Cbill Generation in Three Months, Not In Three Years.

We might have more success with that goal.

Come back and play. People are just making up a mess out of nothing. Imagine if they had increased C-Bills, and someone did not like that. How would they react?

Your definately entitled to your opinion but the game is just not as fun as it was prior to the current grind.

I'm just going to leave this here...

Answer from Paul: Bryan and Russ have been monitoring the c-bill gains through thousands of matches and thousands of players per day. The average c-bill gain was quite high and it increased with more salvage on the battlefield with the event of 12 vs. 12. There was a need to bring down the average to get the c-bill earning per hour to a level that makes sense in terms of the amount of time to acquire the higher end assault Mechs. This has been tuned to approximately 19-20hrs of gameplay to purchase an Atlas. This amount of time is very similar to other F2P titles which require a lot of time invested to reach the top tier avatars. With all that said, there are still more reward avenues available and we will be watching the economic progress of the c-bill earnings.

All I have to say is... no. Just no.

If this is their official stance, I am probably done :/ 20 hours in game play time to purchase 1 robot you may not even like? 20 hours = 11 million CBills (do not forget double heat sinks, oh and the engine, oh and possibly endo or a weapons change).

If this is the direction they are taking, I do not have enough time in my life for this game... :/

One more theme with crying.
Why no to try & be of help to team? I'm usually have about 200-240k from battle (with prem or 140-180 without). Most of it are kill&savior assists. Don't play alone like a supermen (you are not!).

and i only got 100k from that... anybody who honestly thinks that it's just fine, really needs to look at it again.

Cool numbers. Now the one about Red Riding Hood, please!

edit: It might be possible with Hero mechs, so I will give you that.

It's funny to see as they are seeing an atlas as an top tier avatar!
Actually we do have Tiers in this game?!
Thats something new to me, I thought about it as every mech has its pro's and con's and when I checked last time, I didnt see some kind of progression tree "like in other F2P titles".
Oh and Paul also missed the fact that most other Assaults cost almost the same in the end.
and even Lights/mediums/heavys cost almost the same as an atlas as the XL Engine (3m+) is desperately needed on most models in addition to DHS(1.5m)/structure(~1m)/(endo) and other outfits. Oh and I also missed the Modules..

Yep, we don't have mech tiers. Atlas is not an endgame mech...

If they think assaults are WoT tier VIII-X tanks then they need to fire or "re-educate" guys responsible for monetization.

I want to see face of a new guy who will join this game after Clan Invasion and sees that he has to do grind several hundreds of matches to get a single Timber Wolf. Yeah, not going to happen.

*sigh*

Sure, you are leet and amazing and we all wish we had your sk1llz...

Now, do not spasm your brain or anything, but think about a new player or an average one. Now think of the frustration they are feeling playing with the uber Trial Mechs trying to get their first robot. Now imagine getting that first robot and slamming into the "out of 25 wins paywall" and trying to work up the desire to continue on to the next robot knowing it will take on average 20 hours of gametime to spec it out (atlas is 11mil. my Centi, outfitted, is 11mil - http://mwo.smurfy-ne...3fb544503347752) to get another robot and THEN to find out you have a DOUBLE HEAT SINK TAX on TOP of that... which adds on, by his crazy stupid math, another 3 hours JUST to put on DHS and THEN, omgoodness, do you want XL?! Well, NOW You have to do another 8-10 hours (depending on size)

Do you get the picture?! Do you want new players?

THIS IS NOT THE WAY TO GET NEW PLAYERS!

I still feel very strongly that the reduction in C Bill earnings is very wrong,

Honestly I am starting to lose enthusiasm for the game and I am certainly not dropping as much.

I want to collect all the mechs. If you let me make money then I will spend it! I will keep playing and keep buying premium time and therefore supporting the game.

Right now though I see the grind as too hard, I do not want to spend my precious money on new mechs because the grind to replace it is too slow.

Ultimately I may just log once in a while for a few rounds and stop supporting the game with premium time, and I can not believe this is desirable to PGI.

I see that some hardcore players have several hundred million C Bills and so maybe the economy needs adjusting:

But not in a way that punishes new players and players actively taking part in collecting new mechs.

Either put the rewards back or find a way to put rewards up for new players and those actively taking part in the economy.

For example:

C Bill rewards for unlocking pilot tree items (my favourite idea).
Greater rewards for premium time.
Greater rewards for capping (conquest only not assault) scouting and spotting, so light pilots can do their job without having to go gung ho to earn any decent amount of money.

The third person debacle has taken over the forum, but unlike that - where people are actively raging - I fear the C Bill problem will just lead to people slowly and quietly slipping away (which is worse).
