I would make a snappy remark about how PGI should try doing it sometimes......
But this really doesnt seem like the right place...
So I wont...
But for the fund raising, very well done community.
I applaud you for your effort.

Yeah, it's over I'm afraid. We played for about 3 hours but people had to get going on real life things. If you want to, I'm sure there are other times when there can be a 4 man drop at least. It was good to share some gaming joy in rememberance.
Jonathan Parries himself sent his best, I'm glad the community effort had some positive effect for the family.

That looks like so much fun!! I wish I hadn't of missed it. I was ready to go all day but I didn't know when it was going to happen. Oh well, perhaps something like this could be done again. Everything's so chaotic in those matches, what epic light brawling! A dream come true.
Now we just need to do the same thing but try it with assaults.

I edited down to the battles themselves, kept some of the surrounding chitchat like BB's opinions on soundclips but other then that, edited most out. Did consider leaving in the bit where some talked about the reasons for buying the the J(s) but I figured it was a little too personal and without asking them for approvals, I left it out. I still have the material of course if we want to change things.
There are plenty of occasions where we mention what we are doing so it's represented well.
The Tourmaline pit fight and Therma showdown were the best fights that I recorded (I didn't get the first Frozen City fight due to technical difficulties) but I have all of them chronologically. If anyone wants the raw data, I can provide it of course.

i will tell you what the real sad thing is, it is not on Lan's videos, because i was in another team.
in our second or third match, we missed the syncdrop, and so we came up against a team of 8 assaults and some mediums/lights on alpine peaks. no question, we got ***** realy hard. after the last of us died, some guy from the other team asked, if we did ever win a game in this configuration. someone (i think it was our team leader Marcus Aurelius) told them that it is not about winning, it's a tribute to sarah. i don't remember the exact words, but i exactly remember the last sentence from the other team's player.. it was "and now you are dead, like sarah"
THAT is realy sad...
