Why are people complaining?

Why are people complaining they are receiving less money even if they dole out actual currency both for a temporary cash bonus and single-variant-only perpetual cash bonus?"
This is quite the head-scratcher, Ecto Cooler.

Was the game in the beta phase during the c-bill adjustment? Technically, it's during the release phase that you can judge earnings. That's a side-effect of playing in anything during an alpha or beta phase.
Most games have some type of subscription, Premium Time is just another aspect of that. If you don't want to earn c-bills faster, don't pay. But unless you're taking advantage of all aspects to get paid the quickest during the game, I don't see the complaint as valid.

The complaint is that without paying real money you cannot gain c-bills at a reasonable rate. this makes players like us feel that pgi is forcing us to pay. This is not how a F2P model should work. With micro-transactions you sell convenience. In other words grinding without paying should not feel hellish but paying should still be faster. This is a legitimate complaint. Not only this but from pgi's point of view making the players feel like we have to pay will make us consider that it isn't worth our time and money. As such it is bad to them as well.

Nobody is forcing you to do anything.
A F2P model works however the developers decide it works. They need to encourage people to pay money on a regular basis, do you think they're a charity organization because it's called F2P?

Perhaps you could do a Kickstarter for your own development company and use that business model.
You sound like a drama queen when you use words like, "painful" to describe earning virtual money in a video game.

Clumsy and unforgiving, erodes your enthusiasm, a lot of grinding that's not worth it, customization and combat are fleeting pleasures. I guess I was being rather generous by just saying it was painful for new players, because official reviews make it sound much worse for newbies and veterans alike with bleak prospects for the future.

Been lurking and reading posts. Any news on this topic? I love the game and am soooooo excited I went and got the phoenix overlord package (just yesterday can't wait for delivery). I am curious as if there is any information on when the LP's and other earning options mentioned will come about. I was just so excited to see a new mechwarrior game! However I fit into the "whiny" group because I just don't have enough time to play and consistently get the CBills, ( I am improving and my take is getting larger) but I did get a Hero with some MC to help out. Since I can't play all that much I don't really want to use Premium as that would be bummer to waste ( I do have some now, so maybe I will start it.) I am more just curious as to when we can expect a big update to the game.

That stuff won't start happening until the first phase of Community Warfare rolls out. Supposedly, that will be within a month or two. We will also be getting a new user interface (UI 2.0) that's much better than the one we have now.
And to all of you complaining about the New User Experience, EVE Online has the absolute worst learning curve in gaming. Even with a large number of tutorials that literally hold your hand through the learning process, it's still a difficult game. Yet, their player base keeps climbing. So there is at least some precedent for learning on your own. It's a different genre, but still somewhat applicable. I sure as hell didn't have any tutorials and had to figure out each and every thing in this game for myself, yet I'm still here over a year later.
People will stay if they want to, and they will go if they choose to. Even if they doubled payouts and had many tutorials to teach how to play, people would complain. They do in every F2P game.

These devs can kiss my butt hole, tired of grinding, I just want to have fun blowing stuff up but they make it very frustrating in this game and rather play a full retail game than this free to play garbage.

So your comparing a game thats has huge end game potential such as eve online to MWO that has no end game goals right now. So the new user experience in EVE is worse the MWO there are more factors then just one thing that keeps players away. Sure if your going to pick and choose it will make your argument look favorable but not really strong. You need to look at the big picture.

You would think you'd be so busy playing Mercenaries that you wouldn't have the time or thought to post on the forums for a game you quit and uninstalled two weeks ago... so that you could tell everyone that you quit two weeks ago...

Right now there is no repair and re-arm. I like this VERY MUCH. If I get put on an awful team that just get murdered-it won't cost me a penny. This makes the game more relaxing for me and provides 0 reason to get so worked up when your team lets you down.
With premium I'd get around 150-200k, a few hours' play easily nets a couple of million.
W/O premium it's still decent! Remember, you DO NOT PAY when MM throws you a curve ball!
Compare this to WOT or WT.....your team is horrid you get ganked and smashed up=you lose money because of your team's lack of ability-how happy would you feel then?
NOT LOSING money is a fantastic thing, it truly is. I applaud the devs on this and it's one of the reasons they have me as a customer.
Honestly guys-don't complain because at most all those shiny mechs will cost is a bit of time.

It's because people will ***** about anything.
Seriously, raise $130k for cancer research, and someone will complain that PGI should be spending their time getting rid of 3PV.
