and I don't think you're getting it yet...
you aren't wrong, as far as CW, except that this point has been pounded into every single thread I read. My hostility is a direct result of reading the same exact complaints over and over and over...I would like to think you get this point. I want CW too...and yeah, I think PGI gets it...but it doesn't matter what they get, if they hire 200 more people(as if they could find 200 qualified people) and pile their salaries onto their overhead they wouldn't be able to sustain themselves and bam, PGI goes bust and the game with it. I think PGI should probably handle hiring and not forum trolls. If slow but steady production times means this game sticks around long term, that's fine with me, and if you don't like the companies business model, don't go away mad, just go away. I don't like Walmart's business model, I don't shop at Walmart, I also doing go hang out in front of Walmart and try to chase people out of the parking lot...because I know those people would think I was a {Richard Cameron}.

I also don't make it a point to ride up and down the streets listening to people talk and then point out to them why they're wrong for having the opinion that WalMart sucks. Again, you have your opinion and I have mine. I'm sorry they donlt agree with one another but such is life sometimes. The glacial progression of features has gone beyond what I consider acceptable and I have my right to voice my opinion just as you do. I still don't see the need to hunt you down in game and interrupt your game with my opinions. I do, however, see every right to spend my time and thoughts on the game now I see fit and see no need to justify them to anyone else just as I don't expect anyone to justify why they like the game in it's current state. This launch and launch party have all been really disappointing in my opinion for various reasons. The lack of any kind of content is just inexcusable and at this point I really have begun wondering now a multi-million dollar professional game development company hasn't been able to not only implement features like cw but also completely fail to deliver any other content while at the same time finds the tome, employees, and resources to implement and design 3pv and ghost heat. This is where I feel the whole argument of "they're a small company, etc." is a fallacy. They've proven they can design, they just choose to prioritize other things especially when it comes to things that monetize

Refine? I merely asked for one single piece of content in two years outside of mechs and maps. One. ANY. That's not what I'd call a selective list. Just because you choose to think upping the players allowed on a team from 8 to 12 is actual content doesn't make it so. Failing that you just keep attacking me personally. You're entitled to your opinion and use of the forums just the same as I am. If you enjoy the game then by all means play it and stop worrying about my opinion on it?

Well, third-person viewpoint is content of a sort. No one really wanted it but it still is content. Plus, there is now a movement tutorial. I'm playing devil's advocate, but content can be construed in many different ways.

Unless you have access to their books, I'm pretty sure you speculating on how big of a company they can afford to be is pointless. Maybe the fact that they have to try to monetize ought to tell you something...or maybe that's asking a lot.

I'm not riding up and down a street, I'm reading a thread that's called "Mechwarrior Online Launch Party!"
I'm IN Walmart, attempting to shop blissfully through aisles of cheap Chinese junk I don't need, but there's someone in every aisle screaming Walmart sucks, man do I hate Walmart, I can't believe how bad Walmart sucks...what a horrible incompetent company...but I'm not allowed to say "Hey man, I'm in Walmart cause I like shopping here, if you don't like it, why not just go to Target?"
The point is, as I keep trying to explain, the horse is dead. How many other ways do I have to say it...we get your point, really.

The movement tutorial video was implemented right as they went open beta IIRC. By content I'm talking about something that actually adds to what we already have. So instead of giving us alterations on current content (mechs are mechs regardless of class and they've added tons of those but I also believe if there was not a monetary value for them on these the pace would be much slower) in two years they have not added anything to this game that adds anything new or to the depth of the game itself. This game has nothing other than the ip and mechs that separates it fro any other tactical fps. For two years players have had nothing to do but grind through the same game mode for money to buy a new mech and nothing else outside of aesthetic items. There's absolutely nothing here after two years that adds to what was already there. If you took out any of the "content" mentioned above you still have the same game. None of those impacted the game other than changing a few strategies used in game in order to win the same type of match we were playing two years ago.

@PGI Really enjoyed the launch party livestream, despite the technical difficulties. CW does sound pretty amazing looking forward to trying it all out going forward. Very well done to Phil for commentating all the way through, although mate, you should have used that bada** flying camera spectator mode loads more it looked superb and not just from the high up, top down angle either.

Well done Team Tiger pulling off the win (and especially FSxHunter, one of our own ;-)).

@Sandpit: please stop mate, it's getting old now and you're starting to sound like a broken record player

EDIT: PGI please do a European event in the future if possible, possibly London (Hint hint)

those of us who like/love the game can add Lonestar to the "unsubstantive detractor" list
life's too short to waste energy promoting negativity. If I hate a game, I usually just stop playing it and find a game I DO like...not try to troll the people who actually do like said game.
I think what's really happening, atleast for some of you, is you just enjoy bitching, but you still "begrudgingly" play the game anyway...which is to say you go through life begrudgingly...what a way to live.

What's there to say that hasn't been said already?. PGI has literally removed more/failed to add promised systems from the game than they have added. If anyone is an "unsubstantive detractor" it's PGI.

I've never told you that you were wrong for enjoying the game. Not once. You asked and made statements directed towards me. I can most assuredly call it a multi-million dollar company because it is quite factual that they made millions from founders alone. If they are broke now THAT should say something. How they chose to manage or mismanage those funds is on them. My original posts were about the launch party and the information presented at the party. This forum is FOR players to post their opinions and thoughts about the game and the development. Maybe it's a fallacy to think the company will hear and listen to some of the pleas, complaints, and thoughts about the game and how to get me to spend money and make them a billion dollar company.

I'll post and voice as I like. I still think they should have made beardo talk to us. He seemed a little camera shy but the ****** photo bomb was probably one of my favorite highlights of the stream

They also gave timelines. UI 2.0 in 4 weeks, and full CW within 6 months.

They said 90 days after open beta as well since you seemed it a requirement to quote me. There are also a few links floating around in the forums of the stream for those that missed it. If I run across one I will post it here for you.

Any ideas about when during the stream they talked about all this? Have no interest seeing the whole thing, 8 hours.
