Given that NGNG is given top billing as attendees, will they pay their own way or is PGI/IGP paying for them?

Maybe you could run some web comps too so non-Americans aren't totally left out?

#eastbay! I'm right across the bay in hayward. I have no problem taking the day off work and destroying a bunch of mechs! Even if I'm not chosen I'll still show up and make pew-pew noises through the windows lol.

Good Lord chiXu, everyone worldwide is waiting for this game to shape up into something that's NOT the code equivalent of a pile of vulture vomit. Who cares about launch parties for a game that's just going to sink on launch like a swiss battleship?

Yeah I'm only ~30 minutes out of SF but
I would have gone for a night thing but I'm not taking off work for it.
Why wasn't this on a weekend? It would be orders of magnitude easier to attend.
Do we need to have an independent South Bay launch party? We could form a NorCal MercCorp and lay waste to the rest of the Inner Sphere...

Why 9 days later?

Like you're really going to invite a group that criticizes your every move to a launch party?
NGNG also puts out waaaay more fan content than anything else I've seen. If you can't go or don't want to, you don't have to say anything. Appreciate the fact that they are even doing this in the first place, as the planning itself takes more work than a lot of you even care for.

I'm not ardent defender of PGI, but I agree with this entire post. Stop bitching and either go or don't. The fact that they're even having a launch event exceeds my expectations.
On a more positive note, who do I have to bribe with sexual favors to guarantee myself a spot?

Serious, Vancouver would have been a great venue, the flight is cheaper from Toronto at least and Vancouver might actually be warmer as well, even though it's further North!
Hopefully someone will stream the exclusive future content plans. Because THAT I want to see!

Otherwise it would be neat to meet the PGI crew

Now that I live in Fremont, SF is just a hop away. MUCH better for me to get to. I'm STOKED for this event and will absolutely take a half day off. I already told my VP of HR about it, so I'm set.
YEAAAAAAAAAAAAAA MECH STOMPIN ACTION.
Edit: Having met Russ in person, I can say he's quite the gentleman and is tries to accommodate everyone as much as possible. Also glad to see that 3XL shirts are available, the 2XL shirts they gave away at the Nvidia event ran "slim" so they didn't feel like doubles, they felt like regular XL shirts.
