And the cause of the rebellion is that they give us absolutely no info, so the right thing to do is to give us no info? 5000 people is not just a small number of discontents. Phase 1 CW will probably be nothing important.

Please stop throwing out number's like that, the petition has 1120 names on it today, up by 10 since Thurs/Fri when I last checked. That's it, it's nice they say they have all kinds of guilds back them up, but if all those people are really supporting #savemwo, they need to start signing that petition. Otherwise they're just empty voices.

When is the last day to buy the package? Still can't quite bring myself to pull the trigger.

Fire in the hole, man. :D
I bought the package... asked for refund... changed my mind and now impatiently waiting for my Guardian's Mechs set. :P

TeamSpeak Guest: I mean, I guess that the question is. If you’re a new player not playing premium and you work through enough of your cadet bonus to buy new Mech. As you start working up the skills on that first new mech. By the time you get to the end of the basics, can you get another? Yeah, that’s I think that should be a good metric to you know, how good are the rewards?

LaserAngel - I was that guest ... and I still stand by this ... if a non-premium, non-hero mech player can't buy a new mech in the same number of matches it takes to complete the basic skills, then the rewards are probably too low to keep that player interested in the long run.

Premium time gives both bonus experience and C-Bills, so using it just cuts down on the number of games required.

I can confirm that this statement is correct: running no premium, no hero, no founder, I've been able to get enough XP on my BJ to not only unlock all of the basic skills, but also ALL of the elite skills, and I'm still 200k - 300k c-bills from another BJ.

they should make the training grounds open to pree made's so people can take new players in and show them how to play, there are a lot of players who have been playing for a wile who probably need to be shown some tactics like the ones who abuse the wining teem for base capping when they just stuck together as one big mob looking for a face to face shoot out, lack of teem awareness is a problem as well like blocking line of sight.

That is actually a good idea and would make better use of the training grounds.

That's an insanely good idea.

1. Could allow for corps/groups/clans to train up newbies.
2. Allows for easier creation of tutorial videos.
3. Let's corps who are into RP stuff to run their little honor duels outside of a normal match.

With my BJ-1 I grinded enough C-bills to upgrade it (2PPC + 2 ML + 2MG, XL220, 4JJ) and by another BJ. Elite skills only and no "master".

5,000 / 250,000 = 2%. Still very much the minority.

3 accounts: me, my wife, my friend. My wife don't know about MWO's balance problems, my friend don't have powerful PC to run MWO, I fully support #savemwo but didn't sighned it.

Quoting for posterity here. Nice try with the edit though man.

hehe, thanks, though I'm immune to people who can't accept genuine mistakes. Especially when trying to be accomodating to interests and also applying appropriate corrections.

So I guess nice character assassination attempt though which is nicely indicative of typical Goon posting. Takes me back to the EvE forums, oh the memories. And you say you have changed for the better? Business as usual it seems.

However the main point is you haven't recognised the fact that however "you" have asked to slice it, you are a significant minority.

MWO has just over 64 thousand likes on Facebook.

Considering people unhappy with PGI would probably unlike it, and the fact that only a fraction of the player base is on Facebook, then I would say the population is probably pretty good.

Mel Gibson has over 407,000 likes and he's a Catholic. Would you then agree that all 407,000 people that 'liked' Mel Gibson are also Catholics?

To put that number into perspective MWO has over 1 MILLION registered users and PGI has only 64 thousand "likes".

P.S. I don't think Facebook has a "dislike" button does it?

It has an unlike button. I wouldn't expect any huge number of MWO players to be liking anything on facebook. As a demographic we are pretty old.

There are also 11 k on twitter, and almost 2,000 on Google plus.

StandingCow, I appreciate the appeal for sense but I cant agree with the #savemwo direction.

BTW Templars are growing nicely, though some people are taking breaks for burnout or otherwise as stated. Saturdays we have something like 4, 12 man drops going on in US peak times of late and other 4 mans.

I train in 12 mans 3 times a week with my official banner and we play from 8.30pm GMT till around 12 pm. so this isn't even peak US times, and we tend to get sufficient drops. Though recognise a lull around the food break with eastern US times. And we see the recognised competitive groups.

Yes I recognise that some features have been delayed like CW that would help to provide more purpose. Yes I don't deny that PGI could do with fixing some of the prominent bugs like Hit detection. As such I equally care about the game and want to see the best for it also.

What I don't recognise is the need to change the process, as communication exists as a two way process in my eyes with PGI. And they do provide quite a number of updates to keep people appraised. And I think that working with them and the rest of the community is still the best way forward. Especially as we haven't even given them chance to introduce some noticeable features they have been investing time on which are on the immediate horizon.

What I really don't see as being helpful is all the scaremongering, apocolyptic commentaries and crystal ball gazing combined with flaming and derogatory remarks about the Devs and other players that isn't constructive or even at best factual sometimes. How does this help to build a stable community that will be paramount to any conditional need of saving MWO which is questionably needed anyhow? Is this the kind of behaviour you want the community to support?

When you combine this with the demonstrated past with Goon political posturing and games developers well then I'm sorry but they have only demonstrated selfish interests here.

To consider that others do not then share healthy interests for MWO is simply then condescending to the vast majority of players as indicated. Players who are trying to build a healthy community in the process and who are simply tired of the childish "nonsense" and trivial idiocy demonstrated by a minority of players.

Keep the meta game politics in the meta game, wait for CW to start voting on who rules that context as has been indicated by PGI when it comes to co-ordinating those interests. Keep the politics in the game and that meta where it belongs. None of which will be that significant anyhow as MWO won't be a full sandbox game to maintain the timeline in the Lore that PGI want to retain. At least then the separation between valid meta politics and game design can be sensibly separated without any bias with player interests that always cause more heartache if interested your genuinely interested in stress reduction.

How much of the burnout by the way can be attributed to forum nonsense? People who want to rationally discuss ideas yet getting interrupted with flames or personal attacks or maybe off topic posting in abundance that detracts from other things? Not expecting a change here really as I'm a realist and it is the "internetz", but the statement about things making sense raises lots of questions here doesn't it?

That's a terrible comparison. Has MWO starred in any movies?

ETA: Hawken has just shy of 40k likes, Star Citizen has 26.5 and MW:LL has 1,900
