Everywhere, in all manner of forums and papers you will find them complaining.
If they would put half of that energy in getting involved in REAL issues this world would look less bleak...

As someone from the opposite spectrum, US$60 is more than a month rent over here.
I paid it gladly for the fun and benefit I received.
Also have been putting in half a month worth of rent in MC in the game monthly since beta.
I have also purchased the Overlord pack and Sarah Jenner, and if there is a Clan pack down the road I would most likely buy it too.

As one of those $120 founders, I can most certainly say that I don't think I was screwed. The fun I have had all this time is worth way beyond the amount I paid. And just to give some perspective, that $120 to me is just lunch money.
As one of those $120 founders who upgraded from Elite to Legendary, I believe I've gotten well worth the money I spent and continuing to benefit from it, even though I was unemployed at the time. Although I'm not sure what sort of perspective you're trying to give with your $120 lunches, other than you're spending far too much for lunch and/or have no concept of money.

Though it seems the progress counter isn't really moving. Tapped out already, or do we need to wait for a new month (when people get their money again)?
It's still not convincing enough. The mechs look cool, but... I can't convince myself to invest in MW:O for now.

If that is pointing out actual problems instead of just complaining for the sake of it.
I doubt IGP pays to much attention to the complaints that´s really just bored people blowing of steam.
Constructive criticism seems to be quite far away from time to time.

The Point is not about should we be reaching out to non-active players. It's about saying they're in agreement without checking in with them at all.
Giving a running total of guild sizes and then saying they're ALL on board with #savemwo is disingenuous. As I've stated, get them to all sign up, get those guild leaders to send out mass PM's to all their members, active or not and ask them to come over to the forums read up on what #savemwo is, and if they're in agreement sign the petition (just asking for a couple of minutes of their time, it shouldn't be that big of a deal). Then when you have 5000+ committed members, there you go, you can claim to have those numbers on your side. Until then, you are most welcome to say, "we have 1120 (as of this morning at least) members (overlooking a few dubious duplicate signatures) that are all in agreement."
If you want more people to take #savemwo seriously, then saying you have 5-8000 people on board when you currently don't doesn't help. Oh, and add to this the whole, "we're the most dedicated and active players" because that just isn't all that true either. You may be some of them, but trying to take ownership of that title is just counter-productive.
I can sign that. Thank you.

It is perfectly possible to generate a jpg server-side. The fact that it's "just a jpg" says nothing about whether it is a static image or a correct representation of the number of Phoenix packages sold.

Sure, but in this case, it isn't. It's just a static picture, unchanging until somebody at PGI does it manually. Either that or the number needed to progress is so damn high that all the sales in the past few days did not move the bar a nanometer.

You see, PGI thinks that even the player counter is a business secret, which is why it was removed from the client. Let's ignore here that War Thunder proudly displays that number, they clearly don't know how to do business.
Asking for PGI to have a reasonable progress counter is just silly.
