The words "Legendary Founder" under your name is yellow, the box around the page number down at the page count is green; those balls are closer to the second hue than the first.

But I haven't ever calibrated my monitor, so I can't say for certain. They look green to me though.

shows up on my screen as highlighter yellow, so that may be where you are getting the green from.

The Heavy Metal is clearly pink, the Legendary forum badge is clearly yellow, and those balls are very green. :D

Isn't the Heavy Metal Rhonda Snord's Highlander? If so, it's actually supposed to be pink:

Heavy Metal was always Pink(it was a girl's mech so that makes sense) but I my color picker gives me
R 161
G 186
B 56
On any part of any of the spheres, green is the dominant color (even the black parts)

Yes, that is the case. I was just commenting that he said the balls were yellow and that people thinking they were green are the same ones who think the Heavy Metal is purple.

correct. There is a light green hue to it, but the primary is as you said highlighter yellow. Not trying to be a {Richard Cameron} to people, but between having to do colors for artwork and having worked at color matching car paint repair and such, I pretty much can't afford to get colors wrong. And I don't.

No they won't, afew that couldn't afford it might be complain, that they have to wait, until 2014 to see a battle master, but those that cancelled felt they made the right choice, and I doubt every many of them actually play anymore, and the few that do I hope have some dignity to keep quiet, and not give people ammunition.

Well if they don't care, why are they still comming here to complain.

When PGI didn't split the 3pv ques I was one of the angry, and I was one of those that threatend to get a refund, wasn't going to spend another penny on MWO, even if I lived in north america I wouldn't have been selected to attend due to some of the coments I've made here.

I kept hanging back, from pushing the refund button, even after the opening event, that made me question even more the professional ability of those who run PGI, but there was just marginally enough there to keep me intrested, what has happend since that event the known bugs posts and CW post, this week I posted to back up bryans claim that they do listen, as jump jet buff and srm buff are perfectly clear and correct examples that they do, they don't listen to all the options and some that the community think are the big, important ones, but they do listen.

Time will tell whether i've been a total sucker in keeping my phoenix package, but at the moment I'm glad I did.

What is getting very tireing is listening to some of the {Scrap} people are slinging at eachother here, as the extremists in both camps are just making themselves look very dumb and childish, and when you look at how old the people were at the opening event you couldn't see many under the age of thirty.

So for dignities sake lets bury this and move on

Well said! Very well said, indeed.

Another instance though of where the modelers improved Alex's design. THe canopy looks more like a Battlemaster in this picture.

So you admit that it is green. :D
If I asked you to paint my car bright yellow and you painted them the greenish color of those balls I would be asking for my money back and for you to pay to have my car moved to a shop that knows what yellow is.

No.

You need to learn colors. the primary color is YELLOW. It has a green cast. If you were to attempt to make those balls starting with Green, then adding a yellow cast, it would not work. That is NOT how color blending works. Yellow with a green tint is a HUGE ways from green. I hope you let your wife pick out your clothes.

The Battlemaster looks amazing but look at the side torsos on that thing! I wouldn't put an XL in that if you paid me. The stock weapon build with a few upgrades to heatsinks and the such will rock all on it's own.

The Shoulder Pads will obviously be in the Arm hitboxes, but yeah, the side torsos are still going to be somewhat big.

It's an Assault, though. Generally speaking, XL's don't belong in Assaults unless you're intending to remain at range most of the time. The alternative is really just a larger CT, and that doesn't work well for anyone.

All assaults have easy to crunch side torsos.

Yellow is yellow. It can come in different shades, but it is still yellow. When you add another color to it it becomes something else. If the light waves I am seeing include more than the primary color of yellow then it becomes a different color. It may lean heavily in one direction or another, but it is no longer that one color. If you said they were greenish yellow that would be fine, but they are not yellow. Asking for a yellow car and getting one with a green tint is not going to make a happy customer regardless of how high a percent of yellow you use.

The thing is, the vast majority of monitors have somewhat wonky color profiles. This is because they want their display to look "Punchy" on store shelves, and bright, vivid colors are more important in that regard than accurate color reproduction (which is something few "standard" monitor manufacturers care much about at all).

People get offended when you tell them their monitor is "wrong" (though it probably is), because they feel you're saying their monitor is defective or of poor quality, when likely neither is the case. It's just configured to look "Good" rather than to reproduce colors properly.

Not to mention that people's eyesight all differ dramatically - most men (and many women, but more men) have some degree of color blindness, though they'll never know it. http://www.apartment...ee-color-173018 can be very "eye opening", if you will.

And, finally, most people never learn properly how to identify color, so person A may see exactly the same color in those balls as person B, but A will say it's green and B will say it's yellow - they just don't know any different.

It's all a very interesting subject. I'm a pressman by trade, so color is my job as well - though subtractive, obviously, as it's printed work. These magic windows attached to computers are all backwards and voodoo filled! Go CMYK!

all very true. I regularly have to just bite my tongue talking to people when they simply get colors wrong. On the other hand, since i regularly match the spectrometers I use by eye, I can pretty safely say that colorblindness is not an issue. (Though photosensitivity is for me, which is one thing that makes doing car pint annoying, is I normally have to wear sunglasses to avoid migraines. Can't do that and match colors. Tis just one reason I decided to chuck it all, retire and move to mexico. Now all my color matching is indoors under controlled lighting.)

I'm still laughing at the argument though that Warhippy is trying to make. It's wrong, but it ls entertaining nonetheless. A color is always identified by it's it's base color, not any tints or hues added. Only after it crosses the spectrum into the other color does it change. Highlighter Yellow is still yellow. As is Canary Yellow and Lemon Chiffon. And all have very different tints. Yet all are still yellow. Were it's base color green, then it would indeed be green.

This makes me very happy I convinced the wife to let me upgrade to Overlord - that is a cool looking Assault, IMO! I run an XL in my Heavy Metal, so I will probably do the same in this baby...
