This makes me very happy I convinced the wife to let me upgrade to Overlord - that is a cool looking Assault, IMO! I run an XL in my Heavy Metal, so I will probably do the same in this baby...

Quick! Everyone find Cimarb and hit the sides on his Battlemaster!

Hehe, just messing. There are some seriously good builds you can make on the battlemaster on smurfy with an XL engine. In my opinion it might just be one of the most viable assaults to put an XL in. The shoulders are massive, which means if you know how to properly torso twist, you should be losing arms before side torsos.

all very true. I regularly have to just bite my tongue talking to people when they simply get colors wrong. On the other hand, since i regularly match the spectrometers I use by eye, I can pretty safely say that colorblindness is not an issue. (Though photosensitivity is for me, which is one thing that makes doing car pint annoying, is I normally have to wear sunglasses to avoid migraines. Can't do that and match colors. Tis just one reason I decided to chuck it all, retire and move to mexico. Now all my color matching is indoors under controlled lighting.)

I'm still laughing at the argument though that Warhippy is trying to make. It's wrong, but it ls entertaining nonetheless. A color is always identified by it's it's base color, not any tints or hues added. Only after it crosses the spectrum into the other color does it change. Highlighter Yellow is still yellow. As is Canary Yellow and Lemon Chiffon. And all have very different tints. Yet all are still yellow. Were it's base color green, then it would indeed be green.

Yellow-green is not the primary color yellow, or the secondary color green, but rather it is a tertiary color called yellow-green it falls between green and yellow on the color wheel as an independent color series separate from both yellow and green. I agree highlighter yellow, canary yellow, and lemon chiffon are all yellow. However, none of them have a green tint like those balls which are not yellow or green, but rather something different entirely.

yup, keep telling yourself that.

they're highlighter yellow.
nothing wrong to admitting to colorblindness, the majority of adults have it to some degree.

Meh, from what I can tell we are both seeing the same thing, but you have a broader definition of what falls in the yellow category and I have a more specific definition. I could show you a color chart where the color of those balls falls into a different category from yellow, but you would just show me a different chart that has them all under the same category. On the bright side though I can at least try and discuss this without attempting to demean others.

Will the Flame pattern be exclusive to Phoenix mechs or will it be for general purchase?

Pretty sure the Flame pattern will be available to everyone for MC, but included free for Phoenix owners. The exclusive Phoenix pattern is the one you're thinking of (concept art and that Battlemaster screenshot).

It will be for general purchase. We just get it for free with the phoenix packages.

maybe it's the brightness that is your monitors issue? (looking on the bright side, and all)

And sorry if you feel demeaned, but dude, I do this for a living. So your constant comments, if anything, were demeaning to my professional ability. Which by the way, if you know the color matching so much better than me, why would you hire me in the first place? Oh yeah, because I am the guy who does it for a living and actually knows HOW to get to the desired result.

AFAICT from the wording, the Flame pattern is exclusive to the Phoenix 'mechs, only applicable to the standard variant 'mechs (the -P variants already have the pattern applied):

I haven't heard anything saying it would be available for general purchase or for non-phoenix 'mechs or variants.

Edit: Phoenix and Flame patterns most likely aren't the same. My mistake.

Is it just me, or do all of these mechs look even better in-game compared to the PP page images? Love the looks of these mechs, though I will be changing the colors immediately!

We both have said that they had a green hue/tint to them, however you said that still makes them yellow and I said that makes them yellow-green. We both came to the same conclusion as far as what we are seeing, but have different classifications for it. As for hiring you rest assured I never would. Your attitude alone is proof you lack any real professionalism.

Either way we are off topic at this point so let bygones be bygones, and drop this silly discussion.

The flame pattern is listed as the pattern for the month of October. http://mwomercs.com/...irector-update/

From the phrasing:
"Owned Phoenix Standard Variants"

Sounds like the non-phoenix mechs that come with the Phoenix Package....
(IE the ones not labeled -P)

But that sounds REALLY awkward....

Also "Flame Pattern" does not sound ANYTHING like what the -P mechs are shown in.

Edit: changed a But to an Also

getting a little ******** now that the pot calls the kettle black? Laughable watching you project your OWN attitudes onto other peoples posts, then get defensive when called on it.

Oh, you wouldn't hire me, touche, touche ( loz, like you would even know you could already have hired me, it's the internet, genius). I'm sure you are your doctors and dentist and other professionals favorite customer, if you tell them how to do THEIR jobs, and then continue to argue where you obviously have no understanding of the actual techniques and processes involved. Entitled and wrongly opinionated customers are exactly the people I intentionally overbid, so I don't have to deal with them and their "convictions".

Keep primping and patting yourself on your back though pal, I'm sure it'll take you far in life.
