It was my understanding that we would have our choice of four Faction Medallions as well, yet they do not show up in my MechLab screen. Can someone tell me how I choose my medallions, or has this part of the package somehow been overlooked?

I must say i enjoy the PP... Still can´t for the life of me figure out what to do with the Locust but i really like the Hawk. While some say it is tall it is a narrow mech that spreads damage like a king.

Also hot rod is awesome.

So it is like the unwitted child of the Hunchback (shoulder-cannon yo!) and Centurion? Yay!
(Still haven't played since patch )

Haven't played the Hawk yet but the Battlemaster and Thunderbolt are beasts. Not sure what it is but it seem like those mechs can take an incredible amount of punishment.

The wait is worth it! From one wolf to another. :)

I want to try my beloved 'Hawk. I missed that mech terribly when it was removed from the Battletech 'verse.

A problem with the 5S is that the second AMS costs you 3 million cbills and mobility while contributing relatively little to your own combat effectiveness (when compared to alternative resource allocation). The sacrifice in space and weight for a second AMS and ammo is better spent on armor or heatsinks, and the severe vulnerability to flanking means that it's not LRMs you have to worry about.

The 5S does not contribute particularly much to herd immunity either. A second mech carrying an AMS would be far more useful taking the group as a whole, if you expect many LRMs.

So really for 3,000,000 more cbills or 1,320 more MC, you get very little over a STK-3F while gaining very large downsides.

The 255XL is nice to have for other mechs, and I've found the dual AMS to be quite useful for a long range support build, where the torso twist issue is workable.

At least it's not the 4N. Not a huge fan of the 3H myself, but that's more an issue of disliking the LRM20.

"Guardian" is the nicest looking new emblem, now that I see it on this robot guy's post.

Testing, love the thunderbolt - drop the mg's and the srm2, add a lrm10 up grade the LL to a ERPPC and upgrade the Heat sinks to DHS, loving it.

also how can you scout in a Locust you cant see any bloody thing out the tiny windscreen

The Hotrod camo doesn't appear to be available in the MechLab for my Battlemaster 1G(P).

Isn't the Hotrod the camo shown on all the Phoenix Mechs in the promo shots?

It's available for the non-Phoenix versions of the mechs. The Phoenix versions do not have that camo.

Yet, the promotional graphic on the front page of the forum shows the Phoenix Mechs in Hotrod camo.

It's a small(ish) thing, but to me that promotional image amounts to false advertising.

Those are the Non-Phoenix variants. You can tell by the geometry and hardpoints.

I can tell because of the pixels, and because I've seen some 'shop's in my time.
