If we're going to play the anecdotes game, I've seen a lot of buyer's remorse with those icons attached. Do you suppose we'll get some real numbers to hear how many of the ~one million accounts~ bought into Phoenix?
If we're going to play the anecdotes game, it's not uncommon for the hardliners to be, well, hardliners. I'd imagine the distribution of packages is not in fact a bell curve at all, but is probably stilted towards the ends like a bowl.
Of course I'd welcome real numbers.
This is what I said. I don't care about forum badges; I'd expect forum dwellers to buy into the PP in large numbers.
I'm talking in game. It's
extremely rare for me to see less than 12 Phoenix mechs in a match. Typically, 3/4 of the mechs are Phoenix mechs.
Thus, my sampling is very much indicative of the overall game population, particularly as my weight classes are spread over a wide range of the Elo curve (Even the Steering Wheel Underhive: I'm a *terrible* light pilot)
I play at highly random times, so I see a good range of players even within a given Elo range.
Now, expressed as a portion of total "active accounts" isn't very meaningful as we know a lot of those accounts are not what normal folk would call active, but amongst players who are actually playing? I can comfortably say more players purchased the pack than not.
