also how can you scout in a Locust you cant see any bloody thing out the tiny windscreen

Use the Phoenix variant's rollbars as ironsights for your MGs.

Use the standard variants with no extra rollbars on the windshield.

Set the Field of View (FoV) to something you're more comfortable with. This was taken from a LCT-3M at standard FoV (60 degrees IIRC):

This is from the same mech with the FoV set to 79 degrees:

Are you doing it the old-fashioned way of editing (or creating) a user.cfg file (located in your Pirahna Games/MechWarrior Online directory) with this line in it?
cl_fov=79

That's all I'm doing.

So where are the "in game badges" that we're supposed to have had along with everything else?

Go to your profile and click on the Medallions tab.

I think he means the in-game icons on the screen next to our name, like the Founder's badges (which are only visible on the pre-game screen, End of Round Screen, and the in-game TAB screen that shows player status). Not medallions. The Phoenix tier medallions were Unlocked Item #2.

Yes, that's what I'm wondering about. It seems that everything else has been pretty much worked out, but I'm still waiting on the in game badges.

There was an awful lot of noise around the goals being made up and there weren't many PP packages sold...

<~ but I see a lot of these floating around.

But wait, everyone was refunding, right? Sales were terrible! The forums told me so, and they're never wrong!

I know a match where only half the players on my team are in Phoenix Mechs is a rare match, and it's not at all uncommon for my entire team to be in phoenix mechs.

Clearly, low sales and refunds gutted PGI's profits here.

If we're going to play the anecdotes game, I've seen a lot of buyer's remorse with those icons attached. Do you suppose we'll get some real numbers to hear how many of the ~one million accounts~ bought into Phoenix?

If we're going to play the anecdotes game, it's not uncommon for the hardliners to be, well, hardliners. I'd imagine the distribution of packages is not in fact a bell curve at all, but is probably stilted towards the ends like a bowl.

Of course I'd welcome real numbers.

This is what I said. I don't care about forum badges; I'd expect forum dwellers to buy into the PP in large numbers.

I'm talking in game. It's extremely rare for me to see less than 12 Phoenix mechs in a match. Typically, 3/4 of the mechs are Phoenix mechs.

Thus, my sampling is very much indicative of the overall game population, particularly as my weight classes are spread over a wide range of the Elo curve (Even the Steering Wheel Underhive: I'm a *terrible* light pilot)

I play at highly random times, so I see a good range of players even within a given Elo range.

Now, expressed as a portion of total "active accounts" isn't very meaningful as we know a lot of those accounts are not what normal folk would call active, but amongst players who are actually playing? I can comfortably say more players purchased the pack than not.

With all the chatter regarding MWO/SC, the devs and whatnot the software developer in me always chuckles when I think of this and how accurate it is sometimes:

After UI 3.0

Can you post a screenshot showing what colors you got versus what you expected?
