everyone alpha-ed me and it didnt just look like it; they went from shooting my teammates to shooting at me lol
cause they were like "kill him first; teach him how harsh this game is!" "No! leg him!" "Shoot off all his bits so he can watch us kill the rest of his team!" Is this typical here?

That's horrible, and you should report every ************ in that game.

Just yesterday I TK a teammate.
We were in alpine, he was in cataphract and I was in BJ1DC.
A firebrand was caught between us and the usual dance of dead begin with 3 dancers, the FB was ignoring me and focus on the UAC5 cata. It is already pass the 10 minutes mark and everyone is in bad shape.
The FB have a dark orange cored back CT while the front is mostly still dark yellow amoured. My dual AC2 are very low on ammo but manage to strip the back CT to red before run out and switched over to 6 Slaz alpha. The kill shot was landed by the cata but I was too late to hold the alpha, it hit the cata directly in the CT and he went down.
The cata logout before I could apologize.

Most of the stuff I'm suggesting came from what I remember of a topic on reporting people who were deliberately messing with matches to farm c-bills or something.

And I think that the last thing we should want is a tradition of hazing the new guy. We should want a constant influx of new guys who stay.
Oh and looking at Niko Snow's post about abuse and griefing, deliberate team kills (not the accidents that are the actual meat of this thread) is to be reported. However the devs want you to submit your ticket to Support, since posting names in the forums violates the name and shame policy.

not for nothing but being a goon wins you no love in this community
but you dont seem to act like the typical goon...
I have found your past posts to be quite intelligent and cordial which is something I have only seen from tank boy ken and tank girl barbie... most other goons are players that get shot on sight by alot of the community

My team kill was me unloading into an enemy Cent, when a friendly Cent, Twisting to avoid fire from the same Cent, walked in front of me, right into my 3 MLs, and I finished coring him. Since they both went down at the same time, I wasn't quite sure, so I checked the names, and appologized. Fortunately, he knew he was toast in moments regardless, and simply laughed it off.
More receintly, I was fighting some lights and overheated, when a Cataphrat came up to me and looked at me menacingly and fired. Turns out, he was firing at something next to me, and I started unloading into him for a bit (and he did the offensive circle dance to me, so it seemed) till we lost on cap, when I realized he had a blue triangle, and not a red one.
It happens. I've avoided tons of team kills, but it's really easy to find yourself hitting a friendly in the chaos of battle.

Um judging someone because of their sig/MC is just a little bit silly isnt it?
And you may wanna be careful of who you tk, if its reportable; Im guessing "because he's this MC" wont be a viable excuse

This is something I was trying to address with my topic on factions. Absolutely new players may not know all the history and drama of certain factions. Heck, some guy might be a Sinophile and pick Liao because they are most representative of China or he might like green and gold or the picture. Okay that was sort of silly, but someone who doesn't know anything about BT who just want to run around and shoot giant robots because they saw entertaining videos on YouTube could make their choice based of the picture and five word blurb on the faction.
Another thing is that 'goon' has a bad rap due to actions of people who came to be known as 'goons' in OTHER games and it has carried over into this one. (or at least that is what I got from reading other forum topics and the mini-flame wars due to one being a 'goon.')
Since this is the new guy forum we have to explain a bit more when we say something, especially if there is a lot of baggage that can be and usually is shorthanded by people. We can't assume that new players know what we are talking about.

you said kill on sight, you didnt say kill on sight as the enemy.
Plus; unless they go to the forums (which even the company running this game says is a small % of the players) then how will they know what I am? Well had I not uninstalled anyways. Its kinda moot now lol

As a matter of fact, in one video I saw, a couple of guys actually mention that no matter what happens in the match there was at least one guy who had to be killed on the other team. That guy was either a Cappellan or a 'Snake', and it was because the Cappellans and the Dracos were usually the bad guys in some of the novels. Sorry I don't remember which affiliation the guy really had, I haven't seen that video in a while.

You hit tab and they can see your sig from the forums? Or are people assuming all of house Liao are Goons?
Cause I dont see a way to actually make MCs yet in the game
