I am going to feel like an ***** for asking this: how do you send a private message on this forum? I have looked at Ensaine's profile and that offered no icon that looked like a message. I have checked my profile settings and enabled popup chat but I don't see anything that resembles a mail box to send/receive messages and my search of the forum messages come up with threads that didn't answer this question.

I don't care if that is what he is doing, He is helping an awful lot of new folks find their legs. Something i thought about doing my self. Hats off to him for doing exactly what a community should do for new players.

@ Moku.... no, we're not recruiting. If people choose to hang out, that's their option. As was said in the OP, there are no strings attached, and we've had quite a few stick around for a week or two, then join Merc units, or Clans.

Those who stick around end up helping incoming new players.

And we're cranking out some very good players.

i belong to a clan/group but i choose to hang out with ensaine (once in a while), because what he is doing is more valuable than any tutorial will be; and i get to learn some new tactics and make new friends.
i come and go as i please.

It has sort of been answered but here is my take on it.

He is not actually recruiting them to his "Guild"
But is offering to train them in the skills to play - and using his guild as a resource to do that?
