only two of my dozen some posts across 5 or so threads have not been deleted.

You see Abivard, its not that they don't like you. It's that they like you too much.

The truth is that they are desperate:

Just MWO: http://www.google.co...mwomercs&cmpt=q
Add Star Citizen: http://www.google.co...0citizen&cmpt=q
Add War Thunder: http://www.google.co...0thunder&cmpt=q
Add World of Tanks: http://www.google.co...%20tanks&cmpt=q

On top of that they feel it is a good idea to enrage the small community they have, destroy the only real strength Mechwarrior historically had.

Smart move.

Shees, look what you made me do, login and post. First game... WTF. All has been said in the +70 page before my post. Luckily, my subscriptions runs out in 8 days. Consider me a non-paying gamer as of now. Coming from a Founder, I would say that should count for something.

Heya man!
Seems PGI doesn't care about who stops paying and who wont stop.
From Russ's latest tweet, only after a week they will evaluate the impact on the game.

To me it seems they want to see if there is a drop or increase of number of players online.

So although I respect and agree with your stance, I'd suggest stop playing all together and show PGI and their statistics what happens when the paying and active players really stop.

I started thinking of farming my mechs for a while, but even that would show activity and I know I don't want any part of a game that forces you to play against 3PV.

I tried, MWO is a too generic term, try to google it, it returns mainly unrelated results. If you see it on trends you will notice that the line does not start with our MWO.

Replace "mwomercs" with "mechwarrior online", i used the full name for all of them so it is fair, the situation does not change much.

It peaked soon after the closed beta then started to decline (and everybody knew it was not ready for open beta but hey, it is their toy).

Only if it features 3PV.

MWO was designed as SIMULATION.

3pv is NOT simulation and my opinion is very bad about this.

I dont know, why you implement something 80% of your player base is against.
Its stupid and regardless, so i will not playing MWO for a while. Sure you have my money, but for lol i spent money every 3-6 month, what i wont do for MWO.

Your design leads in the wrong direction!

I so regret buying into Project Phoenix now. It staggers me the utter contempt the game Dev's show for their community.

I have 2 questions for people:

1) Has anyone been able to get a refund on the Phoenix packs they bought, and will never use as they are quitting this vomited out cesspool of a game?

2) Anyone have any legal knowledge regarding possible class action against a company that takes millions of dollars on promises that they then fail to deliver, or outright break? This seems like a classic case of "product not as advertised" which, at least in my country, is a legal no no.

If PGI continues like this sooner or later we will look forward to the next Battle Tech game and hope the producers love mech simulation and the community more than money...

PGI where is your enthusiasm?

Doesen't posting that pic get boring?
it hides the wider field of view a first person would have, it hides the enemys pov and his advantage due to the drone, if it's so clear!!! why hide parts of it? 3p flamers are ******** / stupid / without an argument.

correct me if im wrong but the apology we got for being lied to is amounts to " we're sorry we didn't lie to you earlier " they don't actually come out and say that lying to us was wrong, only that they had a coms break down and they had intended to clarify that the previous statement that 1pv wouldn't have to ever play against 3pv was a lie before the patch was put to live

The person behind the rock can make out the position, chassis and even the model (if a skilled observer) and which direction they are moving. The enemies, if they even notice the drone through the film blur and dust effects will know there is a short (light or cicada) mech there.

I take it from your post that you believe that is not a problem, and that's a fine opinion but calling someone names for proving up their concerns with an example is immature. You should post back screenshots showing your point of view then discuss the pros and cons.

Today is the first day we haven't able to find a single 12vs12 match. I see Canadians have serious problem with the so-called "artistic vision" and now they have consequences of alienating their own fanbase.

We did a lot of 12v12 with our crew.
That is, we had 24 or more players on, and we versed each other. We didn't play, and just took screenshots of our mechs, and all the guys. Rotated them, too.

No, I believe both perspectives have their own advantages. In total I believe 1p advantages are more and outweight 3p advantages. Switching them while ingame is a problem in my opinion.

Showing off only one sides advantages I call plain stupid.

I don't need pictures to proof my point. Especially I don't need photoshoped pictures like they above one without the other PoVs in that situation, that's simple minded in my opinion and not the way someone with an argument does prove his points.

I'm usually in the silent majority of the users that follow the forums. Now I feel I must add my voice to this issue just in case someone tries to interpret that all the silent ones are happy with current development and want the 3PV forced to every match in this game.

I backed the game as a founder because I wanted this game to be made and become successful. Although it felt a bit more run'n'gun-like than I had hoped for, it still had great potential to to be the multiplayer mech game I have been waiting for since the pulled the plug on Multiplayer BattleTech 3025.

Putting in the the 3PV is a nice addition to the game and probably attracts more customers to this game to pay the bills of the developers. But please, keep it out of the faces of us that want the immersion of a mech simulation. With 3PV the game shifts a lot towards the arcade shooter genre. Make 3PV the training mode with even more helpful popup tutorials showing in the beginning of the round, and make it separate from the normal mode.

I don't want to play with gimmicks that let you observe the environment behind cover with no risk of exposing yourself. And to stay competitive, I would have to start switching to 3PV to peek around the obstacles, or have a friend to do that and communicate the visuals to the rest of the team. In any case the 3PV camera sends a lot of the creative and intelligent teamplays to the trashcan just because you will be seen by the invulnerable observers if you try to sneak quickly around the battlefield.

I don't want my money back, not even for the pre-ordered project phoenix stuff. But I do want the fun game that was advertised, planned and mostly implemented (up until the shared playground with 3PV players, be it learning rookies or feature 'abusing' veterans). Now I'm waiting for the normal (or if they insist calling it hardcore) game mode to be re-enabled until I continue playing.
