It's funny how they are releasing extremely old iconic mechs that people loved in TT, but are total {Scrap} in gameplay/loadouts.
It's what sells and they know it, hell anyone with a brain knows they will sell to a large portion of the old Battletech/Mechwarrior market. I just see a trend happening where by PGI does something that the majority of the fan base hates, even the white knights, then makes it all better with some new mechs. They really had to pull something out though for third person, hence the Phoenix pack, but even that wasn't enough to stem the tide, queue the Saber pack.
The game is mediocre, but it doesn't matter if they can pull in a nice profit off the fanatics and whales by simply pulling mechs out of their *****. Don't get me wrong, I love seeing the mechs and all, but it does nothing to fix the core of the game or improve it in any way. Problem is that it works. Why spend more on creating a good game when you can float a huge profit off overpriced virtual goods. That's how most of the "Bad" F2P games keep it going.
