Just so you know, Anders has been out of town, that is why there has been no response. The request has been forwarded to Mecha Lingua, and if you think we don't care about the state of the game then why would we have dedicated our time to #saveMWO in the first place? Attitudes like that don't help your cause.

Thanks for letting us know Miekael and sorry for the frustration but this was 1st time it was communicated to myself or Whizzard. And your right posts like that dont help so for that i am sorry.

REgards Shael,

Sorry if I sounded harsh I wasn't trying to, I had just woke up and I am not a morning person  Just so you do know, I am reinstalling the game to participate (provided RL doesn't interfere) It will probably be my last drop in the game.

It is my hope we can make a difference and you'll come back to the game in the future. I thank you for your participation. Every individual counts.

The game is free to play. It always has been.

And not all founders are unhappy. In fact, it's a rather small group of them. Most are still playing the game today.

Most?

PGI says that 50 % of the original founders still log in at least once a month. That means 50 % of the founders appear to not be interested in M:WO anymore, I suspect that might make them a bit unhappy, since they paid money for a product they lost interest in.

Okay, but what about the 50 %?

Well, I am unhappy with the game ,but I log in about once a month, since I still check out patches to be able to give feedback not as the result of my fevered dream (or nightmare) of how the game might play, but to be able to talk from experience.

So, unless your definition of most is "definitely less than 50 % of a group", you seem to be wrong.

i find your signature Infernus1986 extremely acurate and comical. It made me chuckle in a not so inocent way. All those Project Phoenix refunds going to another bank account...

God this game is so pathetic now. Just Saw Draco's signature and it really is pathetic to go back to the beginning and think about all the BS they have said. So many different things have been told or promised with them to only be driven over, reversed back over and driven over again. This game was addicting in closed beta when mech hit scan was perfect, mechs didn't die in two hits with BU!!$4!T critical chances (What is this World of Warcraft?) and when team play actually ment something. Now in opens and most team games it's mindless droids running around. The grind is terrible, you have to pay for the better chassis, and we still don't have clan war fare or clan mechs.

#savemwo has accomplished the creation of a movement that, almost from square one, hailed itself as hostile to PGI calling them incompetent but also demanded a working relationship with the devs. Lol. Any shred of constructive feedback was lost in #savemwo's “Russ and Bryan are Liars” drum beat. They’ve also accomplished the creation of an anti-PGI echo chamber of goons and disgrunts which has turned half the forums into the place for disinformed negative opinion. Now they think the more they rage post and create insulting sigs the more PGI should take them seriously.

This isn’t to say that #savemwo wasn’t a justified reaction of the fan base. PGI did drop the ball hard on communication and going back on announced plans. (imo, the vision is still there and the “crimes” of which PGI are accused are minor and typical for game development. This one just happens to be public. “Lying and incompetence” just aren’t there) #savemwo started off as a positive voice of concerned players but it quickly spun into a ranting mess.

I agree to an extent. The "we hate Paul / Bryan / Russ" lines were from a very few voices, but they are what led to me pretty much giving up on #SaveMWO. I and many others tried to explain that we can't have PGI sitting at the table if all we are doing is throwing rotten produce at them while they are there, but... yeah nobody listened.

So #saveMWO has accomplished nothing but making the community even more toxic.
That's quite an accomplishment.

I would hazard that #SaveMWO accomplished one thing and one thing only:

They got an apology, a mention in ATD, and an acknowledgement of some of the problems.

They probably had at least something to do with the NGNG trilogy of Bryan interviews, so far as some detail on upcoming plans, etc.
#SaveMWO was at the least "seen and acknowledged by the devs" and that is less than nothing.

The movement did, however, shoot itself in the foot - my opinion, mind you - but not filtering out the two or three people who got to speak but had nothing to say other than "We hate Paul / Bryan / Russ" or "We hate PGI and only another company getting the license will be acceptable."

I joined in the ruckus of making enough noise to force PGI to respond and I think that part worked, or at the least caught their attention and forced a response even if it made no impact to PGI's future plans or us "getting what we want."

And I'm sorry, but the community is not more toxic. These threads are vastly better than some of the earlier closed beta threads where this all began, where you would have players making all-but-death-threats (and having myself and moderators chew them out for it.)

threads better
people that don't like the game arguing about why they hate the game instead of how to improve the game
every thread derails into argumenst and circle jerks about PGI/MWO hate with no constructive disscusion
sure sounds better to me

Parts of the forums have become more toxic but I think the community itself is mostly not. It’s just waiting. The forums do not represent the player base like it did in close beta. We all knew that the mostly positive, constructive atmosphere of the closed beta forums would utterly vanish once you open forums to the public. It became just like every other gaming forums.. a mixed bag of opinion with a big dose of ranting and negativity.

The fact that the forums are the only venue for the community to talk doesn’t help. We need a chat lobby. The community needs a chat venue so we can rally around this game. When CW is rolled out and the chat lobby part of it appears, the forums will become a lot less negative and less central.

The argumentative circle jerk would not be a circle without the "other side" tossing the ball back to us...

Want this to go away?

Replying to tell us we should go away won't help...

"We" have something to say, even if you don't want to hear it... you seem to only be here to either prove us wrong, or to laugh in our faces when we are proven wrong.

Mighty non-toxic of you :)

(..)

'How to improve the game' has been done to death over and over and over and over and over again.
Posting good ideas and constructive criticism has never been a problem in MW:O's development time. Getting the devs to listen was.

To now blame it all on the players for being not constructive and too toxic, that indeed sounds like a really cheap excuse.
For whatever its good for.. it's not my job or credibility that's on the line.

Well apparently nobody knows. But it's quite obvious that many players feel ignored and that a lot of things could've been implemented in a better way if they (devs) would've let themselves be inspired by some of the players' ideas, no?
So that may actually lead to the conclusion they didn't listen consider much of what some players suggested. Suggested before the tone was getting rough.

But hey, why do I even bother to answer that one-liner?
You don't bring some food to the table. No argument, no thoughts, not even a statement. You're here to pat your ego, right? Well that's constructive.
