No, seriously. This is the most ridiculous, over the top, flat-out pathetic reaction to anything I have ever seen in any of the many beta tests that I have been in during my time as a gamer. Yes. This is a Beta Test. This is OPEN BETA. This means that you are, all of you, BETA TESTERS.

You are testing features. Third person view is a feature. You are testing it. You are here to make sure that there is nothing about it that will fundamentally break the game. You are here to provide data, to find bugs and crashes, and give the developers the information they need to fix it.

That is the point of this entire thing. Had PGI thrown this in when the game gone live, I could honestly understand the massive amount of vitriol being thrown their way. But it isn't live. It's a Beta for at least another 3-4 weeks.

THE OPTION FOR SEPARATE QUEUES IS THERE BUT NOT ENABLED BECAUSE THEY NEED DATA FROM A LARGE SAMPLE SIZE TO IDENTIFY, LOCATE, AND FIX ANY POSSIBLE ISSUES WITH 3PV BEFORE LAUNCH. YOU HAVE NOT BEEN LIED TO. YOU HAVE NOT BEEN MISLEAD.

I've been around for a while, really. Not quite closed beta but still. And there's no white knighting happening here at all. The response by the community has been absolutely infantile and completely unwarranted. It's like watching a bunch of toddlers cry and stamp their feet because their favorite little toy wasn't exactly the way they remebered it yesterday.

We're beta testers. We're testing features. Like it or not, 3PV is a feature and there WILL BE a separate queue for it. All of the hate and vitriol is completely unnecessary.

I have been around for quite a long time for this game and I have tried to be as supportive as I can over these years.

In my opinion what has got the forums up in arms is that PGI has stated, promised, announced many things which have not come into being or they have gone back on or not do as they said they will do.

A dedicated player base have become increasingly frustrated over PGI's handling of the game and I have seen this frustration become worse over the last 3 months or so. I really couldn't care too much about 3PV but what this recent announcement has done appears to have been the "straw that has broken the camel's back".

Unfortunately a few of "us older" players are seeing long term players give up on the game and move on or not bother playing until it hopefully gets better. This instills a fear that MWO is slowly but inevitably becoming a failed game and that the whole franchise will eventually disappear and won't be seen again for a long time, if ever.

It will be a very sad day if this does happen...

According to the command chair post (did you even read it?)...nope no seperation planned ...they are thinking about other solutions ..whatever those might be.
