United and dropped into my first match on terra therma, in my quad LL quickdraw. Hurrah for overheating.

Anyways, I was all "woot woot, unite and drop" at the start of the match, but no one responded. Maybe I just loaded in slow, after others had mentioned it, or maybe nobody was feeling particularly chatty at this ungodly hour.

I hope this made some sort of mark.

United,dropped, and disconnected. I must admit I dropped some in days prior, after downloading 41 patches, just to see how the state of the game had progressed since I left in January. Can't say I'm impressed, IGPGI. I'll check back from time to time for miracles. Otherwise, sayonara.

Had 5 or 6 members of U&D in my game (me included).
It seems that either number of players online is very low or Elo ratings of typical U&D members are close. Maybe both.

Sorry for missing it Whizz, completely forgot about it. Admittedly, making the time 7AM in Vancouver was probably a tad early for the NA folk.

You can still register support on the site and tick the box that says unable to make it. If, when we collate the data, we find there was a large percentage that weren't actually here it lends support to stage another event but delay the time a further 3 hours or so, to accommodate for this.

We'll see where we stand in 48 hours.

I wouldn't take the number of UnD people you saw in match as a particularly good indicator of how well the event went. It's a sync drop. What did you expect? Realistically, only PGI is going to have the numbers and what they do with the information is going to be up to them.

I saw a whopping one person do a UandD, not that I personally support this little endeavor (I don't NOT support it, but I'm OK with the way the game is progressing for a low-staffed company that has low funding and didn't jump on the console bandwagon). I've been playing all morning. I consider myself highly competitive an have a 2.5 kd, 1.2 w/l blah blah no one really cares. The elo system can't work when this game has such a depressingly low playerbase anyway.

So what you're seeing is the sad truth. Maybe you got your point across - maybe not. All I know is I can get behind a company that sticks to their guns and makes the game they want. I can also get behind a devoted fan base who wants what they think they should get. So I'm torn.

You don't know what's going on behind the scenes. This whole game might have gotten hijacked and is now being produced under duress (think - Mass Effect 3, Dead Space 3, Sim City - so many games picked up by people who don't care about gamers (EA) but will do everything in their power to see that dollar). In which case, the battle is already over.

Honestly, get your refunds and go. Come back in the next 10 years when someone else tries to resurrect a franchise that has fallen to the wayside to Call of Duty and big-company, jock-marketing gaming.

Some more truth for you - Anyone who doesn't see this game dissappearing in less than a year or so is in complete denial.

We're old. We can't pay anyone's bills anymore, guys. Fans of this 40-year-old concept are near that age and we are simply not the money-making demographic. This game is F2P because it has to be. Period. And in a world where consumerism is God, you will always get what you pay for.

So for now, I'm just going to get what I can out of this game - blasting inferiors in the cockpit.

United; dropped. Went back to sleep for a few hours. Almost all 24 people in our game were UnD. Had a hectic chat and an impromptu dance party in the center of Tourmaline until shooting broke out.
