Even if he posted the most detailed breakdown on retention, active players, etc, etc, you would still write it off as spin or even outright lies.

Confirmation bias rears its ugly head once again.

You know why? Bryan's track record of lies to date have us all skeptical of anything that his little fingers construct.

As for 3rd person they even stated they dont see many people using it. So my question is why have it outside the training grounds in the first place? They wont touch that one. I asked and it kept getting deleted in the ask the devs.

Better than being grumpy about a video game.

You're a glass is half empty kind of guy, aren't you?

They have answered it. Just because you don't like the answer doesn't mean it wasn't given.

The answers to your question were given, many times before. Go read some of the older ask the devs.

September 2013 Citation rating:
"Mechwarrior Online" vs "mwomercs" = 52 vs 2

Clear enough?

Yea, but that graph still shows the sharp drop off... so it is even MORE telling...

You keep telling me that but its not my burden to prove they answered me. I honestly have never seen any answer to that question so unless you can prove me wrong we are at an impass of your word vs mine.

They answered your question. They didn't answer you directly.

You want them to say the exact same thing as before, but preface it with "Dear Viper69,"?

Stay on target, folks, please. This is starting to delve into the realm of 'way way off topic' again. :(

Registration should now be closed on the website (I'll confirm with Whizz later tonight) and hopefully the data will be collated and put up soon for all of you wondering at the numbers. Until then, please keep things civil and on topic. Please and thank you!

Is there any chance we'll finally see exact numbers after all?

And here I was about to the same thing as Felix and Whiz.......Oh well.

Just like to say if you want to have a "discussion about differing point of views" how about you try using the PM function of the website instead of posting in the thread?

Would really appreciate it considering with the new forum rules state under the:
Uniform Code Of Mechwarrior Justice

V. The Golden Pillar
Stay on topic: Stay on target.

VI. Circle of Equals
All grievances between MechWarriors should be handled respectfully in discussion or in battle.

And you could face moderation if your posts are deemed to be breeching this rule:
Defamation / Harassment
Any MechWarrior who-
  • Insultingly refers to other individual or groups of MechWarriors; or
  • Engages in ongoing harassment of other individual or groups of MechWarriors;
Is guilty of Maltreatment of a fellow MechWarrior and shall be moderated.

if you want to see the new forum rules link is below:

Given the increased risk people have now of running a-foul of the new "Uniform Code Of Mechwarrior Justice", might I suggest Whiz, that you setup a forum section on the Unite and Drop site, to allow un-moderated discussion to continue?

At least the real ideas and thoughts that players feel can still be shared without fear of reprisal.

Hi Nav,

I certainly can agree with this considering the new "policy" regarding the MWO forums.

I will pass this onto Whiz asap considering there have been a lot of changes in the Uniform Coed of Conduct of Mechwarrior Justice.

Of course if anyone from pgi registers were "Dezgra"

So it is official; Mechwarrior Online is now a 'release'. Whilst I have conceded to many that it was a pipedream of mine to have PGI postpone their launch having listened to us, but alas they 'launched' anyway. I watched the forums explode again throughout the day today, which could not have been good for PGI or IGP. They've also had a tough first day on metacritic, which I am yet to contribute to, but I will. From us at UniteAndDrop, we are still pondering our position given the results of the event, and have not yet decided on the best way to move forward. There has been no 'official' response from PGI at this time, and we want to allow a little more time to pass before we release statistics of our own, but background work on the website is continuing. Given the increased level of backlash after today's 'launch' there have been suggestions made that UniteAndDrop should settle in for a longer fight. Whilst this was not an initial thought process, this is now being considered. We have decided to leave registrations for the site open for the time being. Continued growth of the UnD community will show support and justification for further action and investment of time and resources by the team. If it can be demonstrated that there will be continuing support for continuing action, then we will consider implementing and executing several other ideas that were left on the table due to time restraints prior to the 14th. Hopefully there will be another townhall soon, where there can be some discussion on the matter.

Whiz.

I hear you... your not the only one to suggest this to me....

Regardless of any further movement, this community will not become about hating this game.

What we can do, and I am prepared to do, is continue to gather financial data on the player base that is upset, and lobby for better communication practices with the devs.

We need to see the UnD community grow however. - That includes many who signed #saveMWO and are still not registered on UniteAndDrop.com.

I will speak to the "web guy" about forums.

Whiz.

Also, Saturday at 7am? Are you MAD? That's soooooooo early to be up to type commands into a server. At that un-godly early hour "service mwo stop" would type out as "rm -rf /" in a terminal. You know; those keys are so close together.

Pretty sure that's code for I quit :P
