Uh, if I'm reading that right, you're wanting to bring a 55 rated standard engine?

That's slow. Like Urbie moonwalking circles around you slow. Posted Image

Hey, just found this and it's caught my interest. Before I go and jump in with a character, the year you're in is 3031, correct? Just so I know what tech is available.

All 3025 tech is available, lights and medium mechs available for new players if I recall the rules correctly. Very little lostech is back in the setting and not yet available to the likes of us :P

I've a bad feeling it might be my turn to post and I'm overdue...

Internet (AT&T) spotty AF here in Cali... just saw on the news they admitted to having big problems in here as well as Nevada. I'll be getting something up once things get better.

Sorry folks, I'd forgotten it was my turn to post. Fortunately I had some time free at work Posted Image
Also, an idea to further sell us not working together - Rainbow Stables already has some dodgy press. We could try and spin it that we all dislike the rest. Say, Bertie saying in an interview he's looking forward to giving Jack a lesson in how to conduct oneself in combat, Jack responds by publicly saying he'd like to see Bertie try, we stage a bar argument between D and Jack somewhere public and mechgladiator centric where D shouts he'll be quite happy to knock both our heads together in the arena and make us see sense...
Then we turn on the rest?
Could be some fun RP, adds a post or two each to set up, then we can go straight to the fight?
If you guys like the idea, I can have Jack bring it up or one of you can feel free to have the idea for your own char Posted Image

I left some room for if you wanted to have VB talk to Hennith himself Thom. I'll post the transfer/aftermath once we've moved along the briefing scene and you're good to go.
Also, never made up my mind whether or not Tol was an honourific akin to 'Mister' or a rank. Feel free to fill in that blank if you feel like it.

A few days ago, Rogue asked me a question about a NPC and I couldn't honestly answer. I feel ashamed of that fact, and am now going to be going back through the entirety of act I and everything from act II that's been posted, compiling a list, with names, occupations, and descriptions. I am also going to be including a list of locations and posting here in the OOC for everyone's convenience.

Gotta say... it's been kinda fun reading all this stuff. Posted Image And it's kinda awesome seeing how my writing has improved (marginally) since starting this. Good job everyone, and Cheers!

Characters.

Sang-wei De'Markus Frankfurt (me) Tall and slim with wiry muscles. Has a jagged scar running down the left side of his face. And his left shoulder is a road map of scar tissue. Partially from injuries he sustained defending Tikonov and also the myomer implant surgery to replace the damaged shoulder muscle. Hazel eyes and reddish brown hair shot through with the occasional grey which he has been letting grow out since the war. He's still letting it hang loosely, but it's now growinglong enough to tie up in a pony nub. Normally wears a jumpsuit, but still totes around a standard CCAF field issue fatigues. combat boots. and black leather gloves. Has finally started acquiring something resembling a wardrobe, but the clothes are very basic and next to not really mentioning.

Kaywinnet Lee 'Kaylee' Frye De'Markus' chief tech/bau/wife/eventual widow. I was wanting a girl tech for DeMarkus, I am guilty of taking the first example I could think of, in this case Ms. Kaylee Frye, from our beloved Serenity/Fire Fly. I adopted many of her mannerisms, including her physcial characteristics, say the apprehensive face that Jewel often got while playing the part. She's younger that D, (mid 20's) with the auburn hair, and it is established that she has noformal training, but keeps battlemechs running with an intuitive gift for the workings of mechanical equipment. Jewel Staite explains Kaylee's character as
being wholesome, sweet, and "completely genuine in that sweetness", adding "She loves being on that ship. She loves all of those people. And she is the only one who loves all of them incredibly genuinely." (Stole some from the FireFly wiki. Sue me.)

The Nixon Brothers Chris and Edward 'Eddie' Nixon, two ultra green techs assigned to work for Kaylee and De'Markus. Based on two brothers that I was gaming with at the time. Both are blond and blue eyed, with Chris (the younger of the two) balding. Eddie is fairly quiet, while Chris is loud and obnoxios and totally gets off on busting Eddie's balls. As stated they are very green and if unsupervised will undoubtably either goof off or mess things up. So they will be instructed to do the most simple of tasks in the event that there is no one nearby to supervise.

The 'Countess' Erin Hoffensdotter. Major shareholder in Donegal Freight and Goods, and noble with LOKI ties is powerhungry and lusting for a 5th Succession War. Speaking of lusting, she is a very sexual person. Her current bau is Randolph Von Bremen, but like all things once she tires of him or he outlives his usefulness, he will be discarded. Cruel and minipulivie, her current objective is to establish Rainbow Stables as the premier gladitorial stable on Solaris. Her long time gameto raise a warrior to such heights that his death will cause enough civil unrest to spark the flames of a 5th SW. Petite framed with a shock of platnuim blond hair she is often time seen wearing paramilitary clothing, but on formal occasions will dress the part of noble. I think of her dressing like Lady Davenport from the movie 'Hildago. Ambitious and deadly this one. Also probably my favortie character to write.

Rudolph Von Bremen: Loki (Heimdal ?) agent, Erin's lackey, Rainbow Stables PR 'faceman' is actually a decent guy. Possessing poster boy good looks, and a kind face he is quite capable of getting his hands dirty, but he personally would rather have others do his dirty work. Always imacuately dressed, Randy (he hates it when he'scalled that, btw) takes pleasure in flaunting his familys wealth (he comes from old money.) He despised being Erin's 'plaything' especially with her growing abusive cravings of late, but is willing to play the part to be a brake to her ambitions.

Dylan Wolf AKA Assassin magnent and Mary Sue. GW's Character.

Po Spiros tank 'Von Lunkner'commander who aided in the evacuation of Pavel Ridsik from Tikonov in '28. Hasn't make his appearance in L&D yet.

'Mad' Jack Churhhill: AKA Hans James Bracken-Steiner: RougeSpear's character with the near incomprehensible accent. Also pain in the butt.

Bertie Walker: Albert Walker, Sparky's character, a Davy. Kind hearted mechwarrior. Father figure.

Heather Walker: Bertie's daughter. Young and sometimes wild, she's a constant source of entertainment from a RP prespective, and one of my personal favorite characters.

Christina 'The Thug Lady' Christina Elisabeth Martinez One of the legendary Nor Azman's creation and like all of them brilliant. I miss you Nor Azman!!

Kevin Kirnov: Kevin Roshak's (did I spell that right?)Ex LOKI or LOKI questioning his beliefs, he's come to Solaris to try his hand at the games, but got caught up in Erin's schemes. Now with Von Bremen's help, is hiding out in a distant rural area of Solaris, save for quick matches here and there.

'Fighting' Joe Morgan: (My long lost co-GM's charactor) a former gladiator and now fight reporter/commentator who's grown disenfranchised with combat, but excited about all the new blood hitting the Solaris arenas. Covers Mt. Ishiyama.

Rick: A obese technician turning mechwarrior. MarabreDerek's character. Great character.

Jack Slater. Jagermech pilot (cutsomized sports at least 1 PPC) a Davion national and a bit of a bully, Jack relishes onoverwhelming smaller mechs and deliberately seeks out (greases palms) to be placed in handicapped matches or team matcheswhere he can bully smaller mechs. Has a sizeable selection of light and medium mechsfor sale, though their condition is poor. (in game excerpt) DeMarkus grunted and turned to look at the man. He was HUGE 6'6'' at least and broad shouldered he was easily three hundred pounds. Clad in a leather vest, Tshirt, jeans and boots he meandered on over with a casual not a care in the world giant. No wonder he wouldn't be caught in anything less than 60 tons, he couldn't fit in anything smaller.

Jimmy the abusive tech. Works for a scum-bag minor noble named Alfonso, Has been dismissed from the Solaris Mechspace and may (most likely) holding a grudge against the characters.

Voss: Vodka's character, a mechwarrior turned into tea master. Is hitting the sims and placing bets on the side form extra cash.

Dan Abnett, Jack's chief tech. Decent guy, though has no qualms about bursting heads when nessacary. How he deals with Jack and his accent is a mystery.

Tajuri Min AKA Min the Merciless, An agressive Mechwarrior for Blackhand Stables, pilots a Panther. Prior to his match with DeMarkus was ranked #9 in the in the light weight division, since then he dropped down to the thirties.

Allisa Andrews: a on location news reporter for SBC Solaris Brodcasting Company. Covered the incident where a certain Urbanmech belly flopped into a news van.

Leftanant Evelyn Winters of the 32nd Lyran Guard an officer in the local garrison. Was last seen piloting a Firestarter.

Cassandra Ribbions: Former Professor of Language Arts at the University of Wallachia, now lead receptionist at Rainbow Stables. Recent transplant to Solaris, her family fled the FWL in light of the War of Andurian succession. She took the job at Rainbow for the good benefits namely daycare for her one year old named, Billy. Recently widowed or unhappily married (haven't decided yet) she enjoys her job at the stables and takes delight flirting with the mechwarriors. This full figured
olive skinned beauty, has dark mischivious eyes, and a kinky riot of black curls. Knows 14 languages, English, and Russian have been used.

Lisa Encinitas Undergrad at the local college, she picked up a night shift at Rainbow Stables working as an intern. Was originally based off an ole ex of mine, but since has mutated into an emo/goth chick which reminds me of Abby from NCIS. Is friendly and shy, and usually does the menial tasks of giving characters wake up calls, and taking their weekly grocery lists.

Hugo Gugzenburg. An older, slightly shorter man with leathery tan skin, salt and pepper colored hair and a facethat a mother couldn't even love. Was the head guard on the night wear Mad Jack beat down two guards and was summilary dismissed by Von Bremen. May have a grudge against the stable.

Nicole Krenshaw, Stripper that works at Cherry Babies. Izzy's roommate/girlfriend.

Malingo Valetudo (Sage of Battle) a technician at Boreal Ranch whom specializes in high tech simulations

Randal Porchese: A greasy pockmarked technician at Rainbow stables. Kind of a d!ck.

Larold Green :DeMarkus' chaffer and 'body guard.'

Adam Neuman: Assassin/bullet magnet Dylan Wolf's chaffer/body guard. (fun character to write.) (Excript) "Yeah, I'm with the Rainbow, I may not be a mechjockey, but what I do for them is important... Hey, you're 18 right?" Adam asked the groupie while
eyeing the ample cleavege caused by the black synthetic leather corset-vest thing she was wearing. She responded but he didn't catch it he was too busy thanking the powers that be that he got assigned to escort Dylan as he wandered his way around Solaris. And was gratefull that the Dragoon was such a boring person. Quiet, distant, and always seeming to be brooding about something that he kept to himself.Whatever, Ef that guy, I'm going to get laid. He smiled inwardly at the thought as he played with the teens purple hair.

Gregori Dellon short obese Wolverine pilot from Capellan Space. Bought SRMs off of DeMarkus. Balding, absent minded.

Joe 'In-the-Know' Harper: A radio host that offers commentating and/or belittles mechwarriors on the air.
(Excript)"....one. I'll say it again ladies and gentleman. No one. Is going to have an easy fight against Min the Merciless. Especially these up and comers from the so called "Rainbow Stables". More like Uh-oh stables folks. Or have the listeners forgot about the little incident where an Urbanmech tried to make news crew pancakes.....And then the apology? What a load! No one understand what the hell he said. For all we know he told the Archon to jump out a window, and claimed that ol'Janos Marik had a thing for Capellan Star Scouts. Anything could happen in the arena. We know that, but it'll be a warm day on Tharkad
before some up and coming no-body pulls an upset against The Mericiless....Speaking of upsets dear listeners, do you ever have stomach pains? What about diarrhea? Try new Orange Pepsi-Bismalt, for the sickly stomach that won't stay down. This portion of our program is brought to you by Pepsi-Bismalt...."

Steven 'Sterling' Styles and Jared 'Action' Jackson Two mechjock turned commentators that often do the commentating/announcing the lesser known arenas. (excript)"Greetings fans, and welcome to 'Tonight at the Fights. I'm your host Steven 'Sterling' Styles and along with me as always is, Jared 'Action'Jackson. tonight we're coming to you from Arena 74, yes that's right folks, the Dump. Don't worry, it doesn't stink that bad, and we got something kinda special for you tonight, we have some new blood. A DeMarkus Frankfurt, the Hangman, making his Solaris debut against everyone's favorite boy from
Turtle Bay, Tajuri The Merciless, Min. Jared, what can you tell us about the Hangman?"

Tammy Fae Rowsh, mediocre mechwarrior turned arena owner and respected business woman. Runs a small stable out of a garage in the Reaches.

Charlene White a post fight reporter working for the SBC: (excript) "Well there you have it folks, the Hangman, DeMarkus Frankfurt, stunns the Game World by defeating the Merciless One, Tajuiri Min by way of Forfiet. And he promises that more surprises are in store for us... This is Charlene White, SBC, signing off."

Gerald 'Frenchy' Alanzo guard attached to the stables.

Blair Dallas: Bertie's chief technician.

Rei Tsuji: A reacurring antagonist for Bertie

Kelly Dobson, A secratary for Tammy Fae Rowsh, party time mech bunny and crushing on Arron Baxa.

Pretty Boy Paul Reese Warrior for Overlord Stables.

Mason Adler: Nomad's Character

Quing Li: Former compatriot of De'Markus' mechwarrior who fights for the Jade Giants stable. pilots a UM-R60L.

Veer Shivahare. (Excript) He's a Leaguer who likes to bet on the games, lots of cash. He'll hook you up with however much you need. Just remember, pay your debts. He doesn't forgive, and he doesn't forget. Keep things on the level, and he'll be your best friend."

Anthony Lefgarrison, hails from Hall, one of the planets that were attacked by the TFR during the waning days of the Fourth Succession War. And he lost his entire family in the assault on the now Sarna March world of the Federated Suns. Personally hates DeMarkus and accused him of everything from mail fraud to devil worship during an interview. Is secretly one of the 'sponsors' greasing palms and doing deals to get De'Markus' fights handicapped.

(GM Note to all: there are more people in the SSOA, I'm just pointing out these few for RP purposes and to highlight some of them. I don't wish to mess with the Lore. If you are feeling up to adding more send me a PM or get creative in you postings.)

(Exscript)To her (Erin) right sat an ancient relict of a human being. Madam Wing-Wa herself, supposed leader of the Ax-gang (makes me think of Kung Fu Hustle) tong in Cathay, and owner the Jaded Giant stables. The heavy set Asian woman sat in a rich emerald colored silk Han suit silently plucking away absentmindedly on some roastedduck with a pair of, you guessed it, jade chopsticks.

To her (Erin)left was the owner of Gun-Runner stables, a Mr. Elliot Runington, a merchant businessman and gun runner from the Free Worlds League, who stuck it rich by double dealing his own countrymen in the various (on going) civil wars there. He sat with a rim rod straight back in a exquisitely expensive crème colored Armani suit that would make Von Bremen as green as Madam Wing-Wa's suit with envy.

Lucian Lynch, the owner of Lynch Stables, a spoiled brat of the planetary governor of some obscure world up near the Periphery. The man wasn't the stereotypical Lyran though, he had slicked back black hair and dark eyes that hinted at maybe an Italian decent. He had a preditorial gleam in his eye and sharp regional accent as he shouted angrily at the man across from him. Barking back at Lynch, the Warlord of the Akuma Demons, Tenaku Tanaka sat visibly shaking and threatening to jump over the table to stab Lynch in the throat with his chopsticks. She silently applauded the man. She'd never admit it though, him being a Snake and all... but still there was only room for one Lyran stable on Solaris VII. If she had to guess, she'd say he was in his fifties, but it was always difficult to gauge Asians. The stable master was beginning to reign in his anger as he settled back upon his haunches, smooth over his ruffled kimono, and gracefully apologize to the Chairman, who she now focused on as he addressed the assembled mass of people.

Count Alfonzo Wellin-Russo was a count from some world in Draconis March of the Federated Suns. Clad all in black the man dressed like a dashing figure, but all comparison to any roguish hero ended. Cruel eyes stared out of a face that didn't move as he spoke, as if he had a permanent poker face in place, or if he was just unmoved by everything. To add to the effect the man had high cheekbones which framed a long face, which hinted that he started down upon everything as if he were better than it. Owning the Solaris Mech Space, and owning Black Hand Stables, which was easily the largest stable on Solaris the man had say and sway when it came to the affairs of the Game World. Erin felt a chill run up her spine as he locked gazes with her, and the Blackened Hand pin at his lapel seems to catch the light, almost startling her. With a slimy smile, the Chairman called order to the meeting.

Places:
Spaceport: is in the IZ (Internation Zone) It has a wing dedicated to the late great, Gray Noton.

Tower Motel: Slums of IZ. Is about as horrible of a motel as you can imagine with drug dealings, prostitution, and other unsavory things happening. Located close to Cherry Blossom's it is the premier Bed-Bug-Beyond of the IZ. I didn't include the IC description of the room and can at a later date if someone wants. Trust me at this time though, it is very bad.

Cherry Babies, Cherry Blossom's and/or Ladies A franchise of strip bars not worthy of the name 'gentlemen's club' Owned by the nefarious Emmanuel Cherry an known racketeer, pimp, and stem pusher. 'Babies has a waitress named 'Joanna' (Excript) He (DeMarkus) strutted in and his senses were bombarded. Black lights, strobe lights and loud music competed for domination. He stood there and took in the layout of the place and tried marking the individuals within. A few mercish looking guys had seats near the stage, while scantily clad girls circled around them like sharks to slowly pluck one off to one of the darken alcoves lining the walls in the back. Not wanting to be obliged to blow his cash on every girl who danced he went on over to the bar and took a seat. The bartender some dark haired chick wearing a pink spandex two piece meandered on over."What'cha want handsome?" He chuckled and said one word."Vodka."

Thor's Shieldhall/ Club Valhala: The famous club immortalized in the BT novels.

Xolara Suburbs: The suburbs surrounding Solaris City

Asgard's Taproom: Bar located in Xolara

Tacos Del Rey Mexican resturant (Guadalrahala style) located in the slums of the IZ, DeMarkus' fave place.

Rainbow Stables: (Excript)"Hello. I am Randolf Von Bremen of Rainbow Stables and I'd like to extend an invitation for you to join us." Markus was taken aback. He'd spent the better part of a week looking to join on with any of the stables but he was always turned down, and not always in the nicest ways. Now somebody was trying to recruit him, a warrior with no fights under his belt, and with as Kaylee put it 'A mech that barely functioned.' "Okay's..." He stammered out. "We understand that you have recently acquired a mech, ah, this is it? Most impressive I must say. By joining us you'll have access to top rated technicians, access
to a private mech hanger with 24 hour security provided. And a dormitory for housing and be provided with a weekly allowance." "Allowance?" He chuckled. "Wat am I's twelve's again. Wat's da catch?" A three story cinderblocked building located in the heart of the IZ. It sits on the area of 3 square acres has a metal awing that stretches over the shop which can hold up to 12 mechs and their supplies.

Solaris Mechspace/ the Mechhanger: (Excript)before he knew it he stood before the depot. Long and rectangular the cinder blocked building stretched out for neigh a kilometer with periodic roll up doors tall enough to accommodatedthe tallest mechs doting the facade. Surprised that there was no security, he approached the nearest door. The sight thatgreeted him was breathtaking. Mechs stood line abreast in near parade ground like precision. They varied in different stages of repair
with gantries and scaffolds framing them. Even at this late hour the warehouse was bustling with activity. Techs ran diagnostics, replaced damaged armor, reloaded expended ammo bins, painted, or salvaged blasted out husks of previously majestic war machines for spare parts. The air was filled with a cancophy of sounds. A multitude of languages conversing or in some cases arguing, the clang and clink of armor plates dropping to the floor, music blaring from external speakers while techs worked on the mechs. The scent of hot metal, fried electronics, and paint permeated the air.

'The Flats.' (Excript)A huge empty salt flat located somewhere on the other side of the planet. He quickly became bored with the match up of a Crusader and Archer. The two missile boats squared off at long range and bombarded each other with missiles. He yawned. "Dam waste's of missiles."

Jerome's Mechbay and Garage, Silesia.

Whispering Gardens café: An upscale out door cafe in the IZ

Hanger 18: A mech hanger located in the Montenegro district of Solaris City

The Probving grounds. An open area located beyond Solaris City and it's surrounding 'burbs. It's open spaces alow for mechwarriors to openly take their mechs out to strech their legs.

Bjorn's Alehouse, Silesia

Samuel's Tea House: A teahouse located in the IZ. An intelligence broker.

Ceres Metals Installation #402 An Amanda and Alexandria work in the front there as well as another unnamed girl with a perky upbeat attitide. (Excript) He then turned to the structure before him. Steps led up to the glass double doors of the sprawling two story building. Stretching outward for almost a square kilometer the building was indeed massive. But considering that it was the Solaris IIV branch for the largest producer of mechs and their componets in the entire Inner Sphere, he wouldn't expect less. He looked over the animated neon lights, showing a swanky looking Vindicator mech standing tall then extending out its right arm spewing out bright blue light of a PPC blast which lit up with the name 'Ceres Metals.' He chuckled and taking the steps two at a time headed on up for the double doors. Large vidscreens took up each corner dipicting Ceres Metals products and demonstrations of their effectivness. In one corner played an add for the Ceres Arms Smasher PPC, showing how it was more duriable and effective (and cheaper!) than other companies models. Another corner showed a gladitorial fight between a Vindicator and a Whitworth, a fight which ended with the Whitworth getting decapitated by the Vindy's PPC. The far corner had demonstrations on the new Ceres Metals model 666 communication system. While the other had promotional videos offering a tour of a Ceres Metals plant.

Ichiban Bar-and-Grill a Japanese styled resturant in the IZ

Blackhand Stables :A stable in the Blackhills somewhere.

Madam Wing-Wha's Jade Palace, Cathay (Capellan District) Cantonese Resturant owned by Madam Wing-Wha. (funny think Wing-Wha was the name of the Chinese joint next to the bar I used to frequent. Loved the name... oh and the chicken friend rice was pretty good too.)

The Grotto Hotel, Blackhills district

Denice McDermott Memorial Hospital IZ

Serenity Glenn Apartments

The Dump: (excerpt) "Yes the Dump. Well, officially it is known as arena number 74. It's an old junkyard and recycling center that's been abandoned since the Free Worlds League attcked Solaris back during the third, hence the unoffical name. It's the opening fight of the night, best I could do, sorry." D sat the photo down and looked out over the abandoned waste facility, a five square kilometer stretch of well... junk. Looking it over he was able to ascertain the orgins of some of it, a rail car here, a refridgerator here, water heater there, but for the most part it was just like any other dump, just unidentifiable waste. Small roadways wound through the place, little pathways really, topped off with gravel. All of the paths eventually lead to a huge mound of garbage that dominated the center of the 'arena.' Looking to the East he saw what his maps/photos labeled as a twisting maze of stacked compacted cars. To the West he saw what was once the head offices and administration buildings of what was once known as Hunts Brothers Waste and Recycling INC. All in all, he thought it was a great place for a fight. The tight turns of the car maze offered a great spot for infighters to ambush the unwary. The 'Mound' was a good spot for spoting or raining down long ranged missile fire, while the rolling plains of junk offered some degree of cover from it. And the roadways offered some degree of fast travel in the rough terrain of the Dump. And it was big enough to allow lance on lance fights.. If he was to take a guess, he'd say that it was the rather remote location that was the onlything holding it back from being used as one of the Circut 1 arenas. The Capellan nodded as the image of One-Eye and Jack's Urbie blasting away opponents in team double matches danced before his minds eye. Finally DeMarkus answered Larold's question as the guard made the look like he was trying to get a bad taste out of his mouth. "It's a playground for da demented." Markus quoted from one of the songs saved onto his Commando's computer.

Nevada Smith's: One of the many casinos on Solaris.

Anspach Bar and Grill, Kalamazoo, Burgton, Solaris: (Excerpt)"Nother round, Mr. Prettyface?" The female bartender spoke around a wad of chewing tobacco the size of an Atlas. With each word more and more brown spit splattered onto the bar and customer alike. If Arron Baxa had to guess the disgusting brown saliva escaped via the openings where her teeth should have been.

BRB Mech Stroage, Kalamazoo: (excript) Big Red Barn Mech Storage, or The BRB as it was more commonly known, was by far the least impressive berth a warrior could choose to house his machine in as well as one of the cheapest on the game world. The abandoned factory had centuries ago been used to can local vegetables for the long defunct Big Red Barn line of produce, or at least that's what the rusting copper 'Historic Sites of Solaris' plaque outside the crumbling building claimed, but for little of nothing they gave the down and out warriors of Solaris a relatively safe home for their mechs.

Mudpit Arena, Bracken Swamp, SW of Solaris City

Pizzaro Raceway: (Exscript) Most of Pizzaro Raceway’s shows were, as you might expect, races, primarily dirt bikes, rally cars, and half tracks. The “arena”, such as it was, a circuitous track 5 kilometres in length, mostly dirt, mud and hills. Of course, the odd piece of scrapped BattleMech or unexploded ordinance made those races all the more exciting for Pizzaro’s usual adrenaline junkies, so they staged the occasional ‘Mech free-for-all to spice things up.

Paradise Restaurant, Kobe (Combine District) (excript) Reservations didn't come easy or cheap here. Part museum, part eatery, the restaurant known only as Paradise was exclusive to say the least. High grained teak flooring stained a brilliant cherry shone with intensity, while displays of ancient Japanese relics transported all the way from Terra stood strategically placed amongst the private dining room offered one a change to reflect on mans humble past. Silken fans with hand painted designs of cherry blossoms stood mounted upon one wall while across from them, ancient words of wisdom hung on banners. The remaining two walls were composed of rice paper which would periodically slide open to allow serving girls dressed as geisha to gracefully enter and silently whisk away dishes. The place was beautiful, the service outstanding, and Erin hated it. The Solaris Stable Owners Association met monthly here to discuss ongoing developments on the gladiatorial world. Usually it would dissolve into a shouting match of who cheated who, and accusations of ringing matches. Today was no different.

Graveyard:(Excript) an arena comprising of a criss crossing maze of dozens of walls built from old tanks, planes, mechs, pretty much any kind of machine that could move under it's own power. Flanking the labyrinth were two massive stands protected by sheets of transparisteel nearly a metre thick, built along the sides of the hills. Accordingly, one boasted excellent aerial views of the fighting and hosted all the rich booths and the other was long and low with 'standing room only' making the majority of available space.
