Alix, that was not very respectful of you. Just because someone disagrees with you does not mean you can call them names. They call that verbal abuse.

@james the fox dixon.

I really like the way you defend PGI. You really believe in their vision.

I respect the passion you have for MWO.

My only question is, if you are 100 percent behind the developers, where is your founders tag?

I bought the top founders pack when they came out. I was in the second wave of founders invites. I played the game back when there was knockdown, and rearm and repair, and all that jazz.

I have not put another DIME on this game since buying my founders.

However, doing as this topic suggests with the three different game modes? I would once again feel I could invest in this IP. Personally, I would like to see the "Hardcore mode" suggested in OP also bring back things that we know the code exsists for, such as Knockdown and repair and rearm. I would pay for that in a heartbeat.

I was poor and couldn't afford to buy it. I did, however, buy $15 worth of MC back in closed beta. I did buy the Overlord package, but they haven't made that tag available yet.

You can differ in opinion all you want, just keep on topic. if you don't agree with the OP, state your arguments and move on. Lets try and actually make a constructive thread.

Im starting to believe them more and more each day.

Matter of fact... You know how Testing grounds does not have access to the overview map provided with the 'B' Key? Or how your skills and modules do nothing and have no effect in testing grounds?

Know what that tells me?

They already have, at least on some fundamental level, the ability to turn features on and off on a per game-mode bias.
So... Get on it PGI, do this stuff. Save what little faith we still have!

OMG like Me too!

Like after the cost of an ISP, electricity, a gfx card that can run MWO decently and living expenses, I don't have much left over, yet I still managed to scrimp and save because l believed in MWO BEFORE the start. The dream was sweet.

But lately this sweet dream is a beautiful nightmare.

The should also add to the Hardcore Mod the Option - LOSTECH only - 3025 Tech only - i believe the game with its not given balancing - could still work when using this tech level only

I have also been here from the beginning, I uninstalled the game because I was so disgusted with what they have been doing with the game. I believe that if the did some of these changes. I would come back and most likely share some more of my hard earned money. I loved the early days of beta, but from what has been happening recently I think they are close to fraud.

Nice, thought out post Stone....but as many others do, I fear you are wasting your breath on these guys. They have showed us time and time again, regardless of what they say , regardless of what the players want, they'll just continue to take what money they can and do what they want.

QQ. Oh my god! The developers cannot implement things fast enough! Deal with it... Beta. The thing they need to do is make a tutorial with 3PV for single player. Then they can remove 3PV from the multiplayer experience. Clearly the people calling the shots are eager to implement a feature that has ruined online FPS, but it goes against the grain of people who like MechWarrior on the whole. Gaining casual players to the detriment of fans is a risky strategy and has soured my opinion of the game.
Back to OP topic, there really only needs the one mode with the options available IMO. Third person is a bad idea in multiplayer and should be avoided like the plague. It is misleading to call the mode "hardcore" as that can be off putting to players who might find the controls much easier to use. If you look at free to play flight sims (like war thunder) there are different control options but one mode and it works.

@ James: Stop. Just stop.

On topic: I really like this playlist idea. Maybe have anyone with the newbie bonus limited to the "training" playlist? From then on they can move to the "normal" playlist, but must rack in 10 wins before they unlock the "hardcore" mode?

I agree with your sentiment and have not spent a penny more (until a special clan mech takes my fancy). Saying that I just bought the top overlord package. I really want to see falls back in some form but the abuse of the feature needs to be addressed. I am looking forward to scenarios where you can respawn as it sucks to get fried in the first 2 minutes. Maybe that will loosen my wallet but we'll see

If by respawning, you mean the early hinted at hotdrop mode where your could drop in any of your 4 readied mechs and then hotdrop in another after losing the first, then yes, I agree, that would be amazing.

If you simply mean respawning to respawn, then, no, I have to disagree. I play Modern Warfare 3 and Call of Duty on occasion, and I tend to have a good time there for the most part, but I do not want this game to turn into a mech version of that.
